Reports state that the singer is preparing for her return as a solo artist after two years since her last release, which is "Other Way" in November 2017. News outlets mentioned that Minah's new single will be launched through a project and that the idol participated in writing the lyrics of the song.
Singer-actress Minah is said to be coming back this month with a new solo track. In addition, the release date of Minah's upcoming single is noted to be announced soon.
It has been a long time since Minah released a new song as she has been active as an actress lately. This year, she has accomplished a new acting project. She appeared on a romantic-comedy program titled "My Absolute Boyfriend," which aired from May 15 to July 11. She took the female lead role named Um Da Da, a special effects makeup artist who goes on dates with the well-known actor Ma Wang Joon (played by Hong Jong Hyun) but got heartbroken at the end and met Young Gu (acted by Yeo Jin Goo).
Minah had established herself as a solo artist starting from March 2015 when she launched her album called "I Am a Woman Too." Prior to her solo debut, Minah issued several singles including a song from Lee Hyun Do's project album "4U" titled "Holding Hands," and original soundtracks - among them are "You, I" for 'Doctor Stranger,' "One Person" for 'The King's Face,' and "My First Kiss" for 'Beautiful Gong Shim.'
Before completing activities as a solo artist, Minah first entered the entertainment industry as a member of Girl's Day. The girl group was formed under Dream T Entertainment and consisted of five members. The girls made their debut in July 2010 with the single "Tilt My Head," which is part of their extended play called "Girl's Day Party #1," which was released the same month.
Earlier this year, all of the Girl's Day members decided not to renew their contract with Dream T and would part their ways. But, the agency denied that the group would disband. Last March, Minah signed an exclusive contract with Yooborn Company, which is home to many actors, among them are Jo Hyuk Joon, Kang Ki Young, Lee Won Geun, and Won Jin Ah.
Meanwhile, Minah will also return to the big screen with the film "Best Life." Last October, it was confirmed that the actress would play as a high-school student named Kang Yi, who encounters problems regarding family, friends, and more. "Best Life" is scheduled for a premiere sometime in 2020.
