Block B member Park Kyung has deleted his tweet about the idols manipulating music charts. The male idol took to his official Twitter account and posted, "I'm going to say what I have to say! Hey sunbaenims and hoobaenims, please stop doing sajaegi."
The term translates to bulk buying, which is being done to rig music charts since ranking high on tables of many music-streaming platforms is a big help in increasing sales and becoming the talk of the town.
Following this, Park Kyung made another post mentioning the singers who have done sajaegi for their album purchase. He wrote, "I would like to do sajaegi like Vibe, Lim Jae Hyun, Song Ha Yea, Jeon Sang Keun, Hwang In Wook, and Jang Deok Cheol." The order of the idols he noted is the same with their places on Melon's chart at the moment he made this tweet. As a result, it became a hot topic online. But shortly after it went viral, Park Kyung deleted his posts.
Upon learning of his deletion, the fans, particularly those who support his assertion about the chart manipulation done by singers, wonder why he did that. Some of the fans' comments are, "You didn't say anything wrong. Why did you have to delete it? You should have kept your ground! Don't try to take sides with the crazies!" "It's okay, Kyung! You did great. Do what you want to do," "Good job! You said the right thing," and "Sajaegi is true though."
Not long after Park Kyung's posts gained a lot of attention from the netizens, his agency KQ Entertainment released an apologetic statement on his behalf. It says, "We want to say sorry to the artists who have been named in Park Kyung's tweets earlier today. He didn't intend to slander anyone and was just taking note of the current rankings of music charts. We ask for forgiveness from the involved persons who were disturbed by his direct and harsh words."
The label continued, "His claims were fabricated from rumors that are spreading at this time. He just tweeted his personal feelings, but we are sorry once again by troubling certain individuals by mentioning their names and ask for pardon. Thank you."
Right now, people are throwing different reactions to him. Some find his action very wrong and wanting him to suffer while his loyal fans continue to support him and protect him at all costs.
