The supergroup's official Facebook and Twitter accounts wrote, "Hello. We have adjusted the teasing schedule for EXO's 6th full-length album due to the tragic incident. We will let you know when the schedule will be, for now, we are hoping for your kind understanding. We express our deepest condolences."
Following the reported passing of the idol-actress Goo Hara, EXO chose to postpone their supposed release of group teaser images for their upcoming album "OBSESSION." The announcement also came alongside a similar statement written in Hangul.
EXO-Ls then expressed their deepest understanding on this matter, while some were even thankful that they canceled the scheduled unveiling of teasers on the midnight of November 25 to pay respect for the untimely passing of the former KARA member.
Goo Hara passed away on Sunday, November 24, after she was found lifeless in her home by her housekeeper. Authorities revealed in a press conference that they found her hand-written, but chose to keep the contents under wraps.
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Commissioner Lee Yong Pyo said, "Based on the analysis of CCTV footage, we have confirmed that she returned home on November 24 at approximately 12:35 a.m. and have died a few hours after." He added that the housekeeper was really close to the late star for a very long time. "She (housekeeper) went to her home after she attempted to contact Goo Hara and received no response," the Commissioner added.
Everyone is aware that the Goo Hara was a close friend of the recently passed Sulli. At the time that the latter passed on, Goo Hara was not able to go back to Korea right away to send Sulli off as she had scheduled in Japan. She took to her Instagram instead and did a livestream where she poured her heart out for her dear pal.
"Sulli, I'm really sorry I can't be there because I'm currently in Japan. I'm sorry that I can only greet you this way. Go there and be well as you do what you really want to do. I'm going to do my best and try to live your share too, I'll work hard. Everyone, I'm okay. It's just that we were like sisters and I want to talk to her so I switched on the live broadcast. I'm sorry. I really am. Don't worry. Goodbye, Sulli." Those were her words during he IG live stream as tears fall down her cheeks.
Goo Hara's death was suspected as suicide, but this was not the first time that she had attempted to take her own life. In May this year, she was found unconscious in her bedroom filled with smoke. She was rushed to the hospital and eventually recovered.
