A few days before the much-anticipated comeback of the supergroup EXO, they decided to cancel their press conference that was supposed to take place on the 27th, the same day of the release of their new album "OBSESSION."

This is in light of the recent passing of former KARA member Goo Hara. However, fans were infuriated and asked SM Entertainment to just reschedule everything else, including the release of the album and the music video.

"If they are going to cancel the press event, they should just postpone the album and music video release altogether or else they will make EXO look bad," a fan was quoted saying on Twitter.

Others also expressed how livid they are that the supposed conference was canceled and not postponed. Until the 25th of November, there was not an announcement made regarding EXO's additional promotional activities like music show performances and TV show guestings. The only schedules they had on their itinerary were their "Radio Star" guesting, an offline fan meeting in Seoul, and the press conference that was axed.

"SM just canceled EXO press conference for OBSESSION which is on the 27th. I get that they want to pay their respect. However, they could've just postponed it instead. It is an important event prior to their comeback. They barely even give EXO the promotion they deserve and now this," another fan tweeted.

"This is really f-cked up. Can't SM postpone everything instead of calling events? We aren't even getting the bare minimum at this point," added another EXO-L.

EXO getting the promotions they deserve is what the EXO-Ls have been clamoring for years from SM Entertainment. Older fans claimed that their much-deserved kind of promotions stopped in 2016, not to mention that the supergroup's fifth album "Don't Mess Up My Tempo" promotions lasted for only a week. EXO thrived nonetheless and even charted on Billboard even though they are not promoting in the west.

Meanwhile, just today, several additional schedules have been added to EXO's itinerary. They are set to have a total of three showcases, namely in Music Bank on December 6, Music Core on December 7, and in SBS Inkigayo on the 8th. Also, they are set to appear in the variety show "Knowing Brothers" once again, which will be recorded on November 28 and will air on December 7.Further, EXO has just announced that the release of the album and music video will push through on November 27, alongside the group and MV teasers six hours before the official video drops.

"The teaser image and MV teaser of EXO's 6th full-length album will be released tomorrow at 12PM KST. The album and MV will be released according to the original schedule (NOV. 27 6 PM KST). Thank you for your patience," EXO's official Twitter account said.
