On December 10th, SEVENTEEN fans were extremely happy to get an update from the group's leader S.Coups! Almost a month ago, S.Coups has announced that he will be taking a break due to anxiety and health issues.
However, today, he wrote to his dear beloved Carats on seventeen's fan cafe. His letter said:
"Hi, this is S.Coups, the leader of the group SEVENTEEN.
My dear Carats, the weather has been cold lately, I hope you're all doing fine. Have you been well and warm? I'm currently resting and finding peace but I miss all of you. I will do my best to come back soon with a healthier version of myself.
I'm writing this letter because I want to tell Carats something. Since SEVENTEEN's debut, you, our fans, Carats, have always supported us. So I asked all our members about what we could do to give back to you guys and show our gratefulness, even with only simple things. Also, we want you to send us love, not material things. Your thoughts, support, and love mean so much more to us than any material presents. I hope you will not be upset with this message.
Next year, we will see you again as we celebrate our upcoming 5th anniversary. We'd love it if you could celebrate it with us. Please continue to support and watch over us. We are truly grateful."
The letter came after Pledis Entertainment officially announced that SEVENTEEN and their fellow Korean idol group NU'EST will no longer receive material gifts from fans.
Meanwhile, netizens and Carats were all touched by how S.Coups tried to reach to them even in times of sickness.
