2019 was indeed one of the worst year K-pop fans experience, starting from various groups disbandments, idol leaving their group, divorce and dating scandals, as well as illegal drug issues involving some known celebrities. Though, this year's start was different. Fans were being welcomed by lots of good news and here are some of the events that you should celebrate:

1. iKON Hanbin's Return

After being in hiatus in the music industry following his pulling off from his group, Ikon, fans and netizens were shaken up by his recent activity after setting his account into private. However, supporters do believe that his breath in social media is a sign of his upcoming comeback, and it actually came into reality!

On January 2, a demo song was uploaded into Hanbin's SoundCloud account. This caused fans and netizens to feel ultimate happiness due to his return. It was after the rumor that Hanbin could be retiring in the industry. Though, erase the past bad memories, and start your year with Hanbin's healing rap and voice.

2.Momo and Heechul's Relationship

Introducing, Dispatch New Year's Couple, TWICE Momo and Heechul's Romantic relationship! On January 2, it was confirmed by both labels that the two idols were seeing each other with mutual feelings.

Who would have thought that despite the 13 years age gap, the two will go to fall for each other? Indeed, "Age doesn't matter" when it comes to love. The two were good friends ever since Momo Hirai's debut in TWICE, and after meeting in various music shows and variety shows, it was not a secret that Heechul grown to have a crush on Hirai.

Fans and netizens were happy for Heechul for meeting his love before turning 40, especially ELFs. Everyone's rooting for the blossoming of their love for the upcoming years!

3. Boyband Member's Military Discharge and Possible Comebacks

For those fangirls and fanboys who've cried last 2018-2019 for the military enlistment of their idols, this year must be celebrated for they are going to come back!

This upcoming January 8, INFINITE Sunggyu will be the first idol that fans will be going to welcome, followed by 2PM's Wooyoung in February. It was expected that these idols would be going to have their solo activities upon discharge.

In addition to this, SHINee's Onew, Key and Minho will be coming out this year as well, and fans were speculating a possible comeback at December. Meanwhile, BTOB's Eunkwang, Changsub and Minhyuk are ready to win their fans' hearts again after coming out in the military.

Also, Highlights members who were currently finishing their service will be going to fire the stage again after their military services.

Furthermore, EXO Xiumin, who was the first one to enter from the group, will be repeating his hello to EXO-L on the holidays, after completing his service on December, Surely, it's going to be a good Christmas gift for Xiumin fans as well as to EXO-ls.
