Halsey Talks About her Collaboration with BTS + Future Schedule in Seoul

Halsey met her fans on the 17th of January through her new album called, "Manic" which is the uncensored look of herself, including her heart and head. Fans can't hide their excitement as the album was released as aside from it features several well-known personalities such as BTS Suga, Dominic Fike, and Alanis Morisette.

In addition to this, fans were amazed by the deep lyrics and message of the songs, wherein it deals with the struggle of a musician undergoing bipolar disorder or Manic Disease.

On the 21st of January, the pop singer shared through Star News an interview for her comeback album, revealing her thoughts and feelings during her collaboration with BTS, as well as giving small details of her plan in South Korea, which is expanding her music in the country, wherein she is set to visit Korea this upcoming May 9.

Upon her album release, Halsey said, "I am delighted. This is the biggest global release of the album so far." She also added, "I am full and grateful that I can share one part of my thoughts with many people."

Fans and netizens somehow relate themselves to the album wherein Halsey explained that the songs which were released speak a lot of volume about living in the twenties, where this is the time wherein a youth commits a lot of mistakes, facing consequences of the choice being made, and having a hard time finding true love.

The song can be used as a reflection of an individual's real identity through encountering different kinds of genres, starting from pop, country electronics, and Kpop.

Meanwhile, she shared her experience collaborating with BTS, one of the most prominent Korean boy groups worldwide. For those who still don't know, Halsey is the female voice featured in BTS 2019, "Boy with Luv."

Halsey also confessed that working music with BTS is one of the best experiences of her life. She defines the k-pop group members as sweet, smart, and talented.

"I came to Korea to shoot "Boy with Luv" music video, where I spent time in Korea to see how BTS create their music and film music videos. The attitude of perfection in everything, including dance, strengthened my commitment to end in my art."

The female singer, when asked if what is her inspiration for her songs and she replied that the people that were surrounding her is probably one of the most significant factors that affect her music, including fans.

Aside from working with the whole group, Halsey has also worked with Suga for "SUGA's Interlude," and though people think that the tone of her voice is more compatible with RM, who can even speak English, she believed that Suga is the best member for her song.

On the other hand, as the interview came to an end, Halsey proved her love for Korea, shared that she wants to collaborate with Drake or Shawn Mendes soon as well as left a message conveying,

"No matter how bad things are, someday you'll get better. You also don't have to know who you are. Spend your time exploring and trying different things."
