Because fans may have used these idols' formal usernames for their Instagram accounts made the idols themselves think correctly about their I.D.s too much for it to be unique. Some celebrities often tend to use their first and last names to make it easy for them to keep their handles on social media consistent, but as time goes by, and many idols have their own separate accounts, there are idols that choose something a little more out-of-the-blue.

Here are some Instagram accounts handled by idols with their meanings behind their I.D.s.

1. SHINee's Onew (@dlstmxkakwldrl)

If you may notice, SHINee Onew's Instagram username looks like a random key smash; however, this letter combination, if you used a Korean hangul keyboard, you will get a Korean equivalent of "Insta Majinki." This nickname can be interpreted as either "My Jinki," it is a nickname for him, and people have mentioned that Jonghyun started calling him with that.

The other one is Mazinger, which means it is also a nickname possibly a mecha from manga or anime that is written in Korean. Onew also has a one-of-a-kind Twitter username (@skehehdanfdldi), which, when typed into a Hangul keyboard, means "I, too, am an animal." as "Mazinger Z." They also said that someone who originally translated the username got it confused with "Yeonggam," which does mean old man, that's how they even call him, but they are separate nicknames.

2. I.U. (@dlwlrma)

I.U.'s username is similar to Onew's idea in the sense that it looks like jumbled lettering until it typed into a Korean hangul keyboard. I.U.'s real name is Lee Ji Eun, and in Korean, 'eun' means silver. On 'Knowing Brother,' I.U. explained her nickname was Lee Ji Geum, and the Korean word 'geum' means gold in Korean. If you typed Lee Ji Geum in a Hangul Keyboard, it comes out with dlwlrma.

3. EXO's Kai (@zkdlin)

The idea also applies to EXO Kai's Instagram username. After several tries on changing his I.D., from his first Instagram username "kimkaaaaaa," he came up with zkdlin. This is also the same as the first two Instagram names ideas when typed in a Korean Keyboard, and it corresponds to Kai's name.

4. N'UEST Members

The five-membered group has four personal Instagram accounts and one group account as of this moment. J.R. has his I.D. named "pockyjr" as, according to him, there was a box of Pocky next to him when he created the account. Minhyun used "optimushwang" because he loves the Transformers franchise.

Ren's Instagram is "glorypath," which was "bornthisren" before, and both are probably a reference to Lady Gaga's songs "Edge of Glory" and "Born This Way." Aron and Baekho has their own Instagram using their own names, however, later on, Baekho deactivated his account. Interestingly, Aron is the only N'UEST member using his name.

5. SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan (@pledis_boos)

His username handle is called '@pledis_boos,' referencing to his surname Boo Seungkwan, this showed off the same as Pledis Entertainment CEO Han Sung Soo's Instagram handle, which is '@pledis_boss.' This gave huge laughter to CARATs as there was a time Seungkwan also copied the profile photo of their CEO's account.
