A lot of talent agencies in South Korea involving their artists have been announcing their legal action against malicious rumors about their artists.
More and more celebrities in the world of K-pop has been accused of being part of a religious cult in South Korea, being lead by the Shincheonji pastor Lee Man-Hee.
It was in March when Pastor Lee Man-hee made it to the headlines of every media outlet in South Korea when he expressed his sincerest apologies to the public.
It has been reported that one of the pastor's followers showed symptoms of the said virus which started off as a fever but still attended four churches in Daegu, South Korea. That holds the largest population of 2.5 million people and where the outbreak started.
On March 4, the talent agencies such as FNC Entertainment, Starship Entertainment, Contents Nanda Kinda, and more have been pressing legal charges for those who will spread false rumors involving their talents.

From FNC Entertainment:
"Hello, this is FNC Entertainment.
We have been monitoring online activities of different communities and found out that one of our talents is being rumored to be part of a religious cult which is wholly absurd.
We would like to inform the public that none of our talents is taking part in any religious sectors.
A lot of people are diagnosed with the Coronavirus all over the world, and our management along with the artist is helping the community combat the spread of the disease.
However, we will not tolerate people who are spreading false news and accusations about out artists and be informed that we will take legal actions once a person is proved to be spreading malicious content and information about our artists.

"Hello, This is Starship Entertainment.
We received reports that linked our artist to a religious sector which we formally would like to deny.
None of our artists are taking part in the controversial religion.
As per our policy, we are taking legal actions to those who will be proven to be sharing false claims against our artists.

A lot of agencies have been denying the rumors regarding their artists after a report broke out claiming that big celebrities are followers and believers of the religious sect.
