Goo Hara’s Brother Appeals for ‘Goo Hara Act’

There is no way that Goo Ho In, brother of the late K-pop celebrity Goo Hara, is backing out from his plea to defend the inheritance of her late sister from their absent mother. He is now petitioning for the "Goo Hara Act."

On March 18, Goo Ho In spoke to reporters in Seocho-gu, Seoul about a statement regarding his petition for "Goo Hara Act." His legal counsel, Attorney Noh Jong Uhn, gave his statement about pursuing the so-called appeal on the same day.

The lawyer said, "We have crafted 'Goo Hara Act' on March 18 to be passed at the Nationa Assembly. It is stated in the current law, the passing of an offspring due to accident prior to his parents, the remaining property, such as death compensation, shall be passed through the parent who abandoned him."

He added, "This is not favorable with universal justice and humanity because the parents will benefit the property of the late child, even if they haven't done their responsibility in rearing them"

The legal counsel added, "As we move forward with the lawsuit of the inheritance trial, we also appealed for the passing of the 'Goo Hara Act,' which is a revised bill on the inheritance law."

Recently, Goo Hara's brother, Goo Ho In, came out to speak about their mother who abandoned them when they were kids but suddenly showed up to claim the late K-pop idol's assets. The mother is asking for 50% of Hara's inheritance and her son has filed a case against her.
