On Wednesday, March 18, Super Junior's Shindong's stylist uploaded a photo of the male idol on a Kakao Talk GC, showcasing the successful diet that Shindong underwent for five months.
In the photo, Elfs (Super Junior's fandom name) can't help but be amazed by his visuals and his new and improved physique of Shindong, flexing his firm muscles as he wears a fitted jersey, exposing his now toned arms. At the same time, his chest left a mark on the thin fabric of his cloth.
Fans can't help but wonder then if the male idol already formed some abs, anticipating him to have a photoshoot showing off his body sooner or later, just like what the group's leader Leeteuk did last month.
Meanwhile, Shindong has been open to his fans and supporters on sharing his weight loss transformation, posting his "before and after" photos through his social media accounts.
In his recent post featuring his successful weight loss of 37 kg, his close friend also commented and reacted on his photos, congratulating him as well as throwing jokes between them.
Shindong's co-member Eunhyuk and Donghae teased him. Donghae quipped, "Who are you? Toktoktok."
Shindong then replied, "I was the one who ate you!!!!"
Moreover, Eunhyuk commented, "Let's go for yo-yo in the shortest period of time Hyung (elder brother)."
It is undoubtedly a way of Eunhyuk to annoy Shindong, as "yo-yo" is a term by Shindong referring to his weight loss and weight gain going back and forth.
"This crazy b*astard, what are you saying?" Shindong responded.
Furthermore, Dindin, a South Korean rapper who is a close friend of Shindong, commented as well and wrote, "Hyung, I am curious about what you are going to do with your old but pretty clothes? We should do a flea market."
A flea market is popular among Korean idols nowadays, wherein they sell their old items such as clothes, collectibles, and other valuable things, and the proceeds will be donated for a charity or other organizations.
Shindong then showed his interest in Dindin's suggestion and replied, "Should we do it together?"
The Super Junior member started his weight loss plan in October of 2019. This was his last resort to prevent health complications at the age of 40. After five months of doing Juvis diet, a scientific approach on food wherein an individual won't have to starve themselves to lose weight, the male idol lost 37 kg and is now weighing 79 kg. Supposedly, he planned to do it up until 75 kg weight only, but he successfully surpassed his ideal weight.
Shindong is currently working on maintaining and regulating himself to prevent the yo-yo effect that he always encountered in his past attempts to lose weight.
