One of Jessica Jung's latest vlogs on "Jessica Land" is about answering her "firsts" where she mentioned something about her sister, Krystal.
Krystal is also her fellow idol, member of f(x), who is younger than her. Part of the questions raised by the followers of which Jessica answered was: "What was your first memory of cute Soojung (Krystal)?"
She started narrating about the first time she set her eyes on her when she was five years old. She could barely remember the day before she would meet her, she had to stay overnight with her aunt. The following day, at the hospital, she described baby Soojung as a "doll-like" creature. Although she anticipated having a little sibling coming soon, seeing her gave her both feelings of cheer and weirdness.
Jessica even shared how she felt when she held her in her arms for the first time. "I don't think I liked it," she said. She then explained that being the firstborn and solely enjoying the attention of her parents, she thought that she finally had to share the love to Krystal.
Jessica might have experienced a sense of sibling rivalry way back. "Oh, are you my competitor?" She wondered. This reveals that, just like normal siblings, the Jung sisters went through such phase as well.
Nonetheless, Jessica explained that that was the thing in the past. She clearly expressed how happy she is to have a sister. She even thanked her mom and dad for it.
The Jung sisters are South Korean girls who settled in California, U.S.A. with their parents when they were young. Later on, their innate skills in dancing and singing, plus being undeniably beautiful, brought them to the limelight of the K-pop industry, and eventually they landed as girl group members. Jessica became one of Girls' Generation's members while Krystal debuted in f(x), both under SM Entertainment.
Although Jessica became a trainee for seven years, everything paid off because she was one of the most admired members of the group group. She broke a lot of the hearts of her fans when she left the band due to conflicts with her work commitments and her business.
She is now a proud owner of Blanc & Eclare, a line of luxury fashion brands composed of clothing, denim, eyewear, skincare and accessories. She established the business in 2014 and now, several branches have opened in various locations such as Seoul, New York, Beijing, and many more.
Aside from venturing into a solo career after leaving Girls' Generation, Jessica also started her vlog, "Jessica Land." In many instances, she is seen having fun shooting the vlog with her sister, Krystal. Netizens always take notice of their "sibling goals" through her videos.
In the said vlog, she also stated how she felt pressured while both filmed a variety show together.
"I was actually kind of nervous. I didn't want my little sister in that competitive environment," she said.
It only means she is cherishing Krystal beyond what people see.
