Reasons Why BLACKPINK’s Rosé Deserves a Solo Debut Album

BLINKs have been waiting for the major comeback of the girl group BLACKPINK, but it will be equally amazing to hear Rosé's solo album debut, right? Alas, it hurts that both the group's comeback and solo debuts are almost apt to wishful thinking. Fans have been waiting for a really, really long time.

As a matter of fact, Rosé's solo debut has been clamored for since 2018 and was actually confirmed by the idol in an Instagram Live in 2019, but nothing has happened yet.

According to YG Entertainment, Rosé will be having her solo debut after Jennie, who was the first one to release her own album, though, due to the controversies and issues the company faced, their schedules were moved to 2019. And guess what? It's already 2020 and the drought for a new Rosé content is still real.

BLACKPINK's comeback album was confirmed to be released this April, though due to the pandemic, it was then moved to May or June. And if Rosé's solo debut will come afterward, here are the reasons why the female idol deserves her solo debut more than anyone else.

1. Rosé Drought

Recently, news about YG treating the member poorly than the other members arises. While this is an assumption, it's obvious that Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo have been busy on their solo activities, including being brand ambassadors for different high-end brand companies. At the same time, Lisa is currently a dance mentor for a Chinese music program, "Youth with You."

Rosé can seldom be seen. Her first solo magazine cover for Dazed Korea happened last year, and then she became the face of W Korea, in collaboration with YSL, for the magazine's April issue. Aside from these and her updates on her personal social media accounts, Rosé is, according to fans, given lesser attention by the agency. But hopefully, on a positive note, this can be a sign that Rosé has been working on her debut instead.

2. Vocal Queen

Every BLACKPINK member is a versatile artist who can do singing, dancing, rapping, modeling, etc. However, when it comes to singing, admit it or not, Rosé's voice stands out among the other members, as expected to the "Vocal Queen" of the group. Her solo cover songs are gaining lots of interest and love due to her amazing voice and singing techniques, making her more unique than other K-pop idols.

Fans of the idol feel really grateful as she does several songs covers a lot, but this is not enough undoubtedly! BLINKs can't wait to cheer and support Rosé on music shows, slaying the stage and gathering awards that she deserves as a soloist.

3. Rosé works hard to become a successful singer.

She's BLACKPINK Rosé, but fans want to see her as Singer Rosé as well. Born in New Zealand and lived in Australia, Rosé found her passion for singing and dancing while growing. When she decided to become a K-pop idol, she had to fly to Korea and adjust to the culture and standards. Her singing skills made it through for her to become a member of YG's BLACKPINK, and she worked hard for it for four years.

Though she blended with the group perfectly, Rosé obviously can give more, especially with her singing skills. Hopefully, with her solo debut album, she can show her own singing color, not as a BLACKPINK member but as a solo artist.
