BTS Announces Free Online Concert Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

Global K-pop group BTS is hosting a free online concert series called BANG BANG CON to entertain fans all around the world in this time of coronavirus self-quarantine.

A selection of their past concerts and fan meeting events will be shown on the BTS channel on YouTube, BANGTANTV, on April 18th and 19th.

The first day of BANG BANG CON will feature videos from concerts that took place between 2014 and 2016, such as "2015 BTS Live," "BTS 2014 Live Trilogy: Episode II The Red Bullet," and "BTS 3rd Muster [ARMY.ZIP+]," will be aired on the YouTube channel on Saturday.

The second day will broadcast the shows "2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour In Seoul," "Love Yourself Seoul," and "BTS 4th Muster [Happy Ever After]" in what turned out to be a massive global tour.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the famous boy band canceled the Seoul leg of their new world concert tour series "Map of the Soul Tour," supposedly to take place mid-April. The global health crisis has also forced the group to postpone the North American leg of their tour.

BTS label entertainment explain in order to help fans enjoy the online replacement concerts better, "BTS Online Concert Weekend" will come up with a special system to synchronizes the operation of the official BTS light stick, known as Army Bomb, to the concerts' set lists.

Big Hit also shared "Connected to (the official fan community application) Weverse through Bluetooth, the light stick will change color in accordance with the playlist so that fans can fully enjoy the show as if they are at a concert,"
