Thanks to a generous gesture from Kang Daniel and his supporters, the singer was able to support a baby that received a cochlear implant financially!
Kang Daniel contributed 30 million won (roughly $25,800) in December of last year under the name of his fan community DANITY to the hearing impaired social service group "Snail of Love." On top of that, his supporters pledged 99 million Korean won (around $81,070).
On April 20, Snails of Love revealed that Kang Daniel visited the foundation on April 17 and got to meet Kim Ji Yeon (a pseudonym), a two-year-old (by Korean reckoning) baby who had undergone artificial cochlear surgery last month.
With the sponsorship from Kang Daniel and his supporters, she is the first child to receive artificial cochlear surgery.
Kim Ji Yeon was given a diagnosis with deafness and was advised to undergo an artificial cochlear implant procedure, and was moved to the neonatal intensive care unit after she was born. Due to financial problems, her mother and father had trouble raising operating costs, so they heard about Snails of Love through consulting with the hospital's public health business department.
Kang Daniel said, "I pray Ji Yeon will grow up happy as a bright kid who can listen to sounds." He provided her with his album "CYAN," a toy that produces different sounds, and summer clothes.
Snails of Love commended Kang Daniel and DANITY for sharing photos of his trip through their official Twitter account. The company also published a closer look at the plaque Kang Daniel got.

KONNECT Entertainment stated, "He even personally donated before Christmas, after learning that his appreciation society members provided a helping hand to those in need for Kang Daniel's birthday celebration."
ABOUT KANG DANIEL
Kang Daniel is a South Korean producer, artist, songwriter, and businessman. Since ranking first in Produce 101 Season 2 he came to prominence and is a former member of Korean boy band Wanna One. When the band performed its endorsements for a year and a half, it gained both critical and commercial success, with all four of its releases placed first on the Gaon Album Chart in South Korea.
After Wanna One's operations as a band had ended, Kang took a six-month leave from the entertainment world and began to take over his career management. He formed his independent company later that year to handle his forthcoming projects and launched his inaugural extended play (EP), Color on Me.
The EP was a phenomenal success hitting both the highest first-day and first-week sales goal, achieved by a recording artist in the era of the Hanteo Chart of South Korea. It also topped the Gaon Album Chart of South Korea.
