In an online Korean community, ITZY's Lia has been receiving criticisms due to her "poor" dancing skills. Due to this, the opinions and comments of the fans were divided. A debate about the real talent of the female idol stirred up.

Recently, ITZY released their comeback song "WANNABE," which instantly became a hit song, catching not only the attention of K-pop fans and supporters of the group but as well as K-pop idols due to their iconic "shoulder dance."

Even in TikTok, Ryujin's "legendary shoulder move" has become a challenge, drawing mainstream attention towards ITZY.

However, despite the fame and success that they were getting as a "rookie monster," the group members have been getting lots of negative feedback and criticisms as well. Previously, an issue about Chaeryeong and Yuna's inferiority complex sparked, and now, Lia is being criticized due to her dancing skills, which people say is lacking compared to the other members.

On the 20th of April, a K-netizen made a thread with the title, "Lia needs to Practice More."

On the post, the writer said:

"If you're an idol, it's natural that you're better than ordinary people in terms of dancing and singing. When you've already debuted, people expect you to have tremendous dance and singing skills. If you can't do that, you're not a professional dancer."

In addition to this, the author of the blog also provided an explanation as to why she thinks that way.

During ITZY's promotion for their comeback this year, netizens noticed that ITZY's Lia couldn't even catch up with the energy of the other members while dancing to "WANNABE" in their "Idol Radio" guesting appearance.

The commentators talk about her weak arm movements, shoulder dance, and her skills that are being overpowered by other ITZY members. It's not that Lia is not good in dancing, but what is disappointing netizens is that Lia has been criticized a lot last 2019, for her "lazy" dance, but she's not even improving a bit.

Some fans are commenting that Lia will probably improve soon, as they were just in their starting years. However, other netizens are claiming,

"She's not really good at dancing. She's only making it up due to her face and vocals."

In addition to this, a fan who was browsing to the comments expressed her disbelief that fans have been treating members differently, due to their physical appearance.

The writer expressed her thoughts about how people K-Netz protects Lia for she can sing and is visually pleasing, and tell her she can do better. But K-Netz hates Chaeryeong despite her ability and skills just because she doesn't pass the Korean beauty standards.

Due to this, people are hoping that the members will be treated fairly, and constructive criticism should not be considered as "hate" and "bashing."

However, other fans are really going below the belt, saying that ITZY's Lia is not even that pretty, and she's also not good in singing, that's why she doesn't deserve to be an idol.

Thus, concerned netizens are hoping that JYP Entertainment will provide improved security for their artists towards malicious comments, and give their artists proper guidance to maintain their mental health.

Nevertheless, as Lia is still in her rookie years, we are rooting that she will improve in no time, as experience is still the best teacher.

We are rooting for you, Lia!
