After a long postponement, Taeyeon revealed the official date of her solo comeback and the release of her new song, "Happy."
According to an exclusive report from Exports News on the 27th, Taeyeon of Girl's Generation will have her official comeback on the 4th of May. It was remembered that it initially scheduled in March 9, in line with her birthday, but an unfortunate event happened when her dad passed away. Thus, the big event was halted.
"Happy" is an R&B pop song that reinterprets Old School Duwab and R&B in a modern sound. She said earlier that the song is her birthday gift for fans, but later on, SM Entertainment has announced that the singer had to temporarily postpone all schedules as she bereaved her father's passing.
SM Entertainment said, "We ask for your understanding from many fans who expected the new song, and we will announce it again regarding the future release schedule."
Fans understood the KPOP idol and waited patiently until the artist is ready for the comeback date. Indeed, the waiting is now on its end for the fans will officially hear the much-awaited solo comeback.
However, some SONEs are sad that recently, the song "happy" was allegedly leaked by a Japanese music platform and some netizens downloaded and uploaded the said leaked track. The fans had to call everybody's attention to block the said Twitter accounts.
Needless to say, Taeyeon must be ready for the comeback, since she recently shared an update on her Instagram with regards to the her father. She shared a photo of her dad and captioned it, "I'll put you in my heart, my dear dad."
Many fans are glad that she sounded better and some hinted that the comeback is really coming soon. SONEs are now excited for the said comeback.
