BOL4 Woo Ji Yoon's Departure
Shofar Music has confirmed the departure of Woo Ji Yoon from the BOL4 duo. Ahn Ji Young promotes solo while keeping the name BOL4.
Below is the full official statement from Shofar Music:
"Firstly, we would like to thank the fans who support and appreciate BOL4. We want to make an official announcement about a change of member in the duo BOL4 of our company.
Member Woo Ji Yoon conveyed her intention of finishing promotion as part of BOL4 because of personal issues regarding her future career, and we also had numerous discussions with the members to think very carefully about the subject. The participants came to realize each other's opinions after interacting with each other for a long time, and Shofar Music also values Woo Ji Yoon's opinion, so we have reached the conclusion that follows.
BOL4 is now going to be a one-member band with Ahn Ji Young, and no more other members. Woo Ji Yoon has opted, after consideration, to give up marketing as BOL4.
We, Shofar Music, are deeply saddened that BOL4 will never be allowed to proceed as a duo, and we have reached this process and the decision to value and consider her thoughts [Woo Ji Yoon], above all else.
In addition, Ahn Ji Young and Woo Ji Yoon will wrapped up being with each other as a duo, but given the paths they try and pursue together they will remain their friends and acquaintances..
The one-member BOL4 is reportedly getting ready to release an album sometime in May, and we are asking you to provide warm encouragement and support to Ahn Ji Young, who will start BOL4's music.
Shofar Music will continue to bolster the promising future of the two musicians.
Thank you very much."
Woo Ji Yoon also posted a handwritten personal letter regarding her withdrawal. Here it is:
"Hello, this is Woo Ji Yoon.
It's been a moment since I wrote a message.
During this period where the winter is slowly disappearing, it is difficult to stay home. If you go out, make sure you bring a hat and take a lightweight jacket with you because the regular temperature gradient is growing. Be wary of catching a cold.
Today I would like to think about it really carefully. You may find it misleading or shocking, so my heart is heavy.
Although I cherish in my heart the moments I have spent with you as Woo Ji Yoon of BOL4, I commence on a new beginning.
I needed my fans to be the very first ones to know who rooted for me and supported me. Thank you for saving me a part of your heart. This was no easy choice because we had such unique moments with each other and communicated so many emotions.
I can't describe myself well enough, and even in this brief piece of writing, I'm blabbering. But whether or not I am writing well, I wanted to address you entirely as myself, because it's the last time. What I began in high school for fun has indeed developed into a group that several people are leaning their ears to listen to, and I would like to let everybody know that BOL4 is a cherished memory for me. I'm not going to be able to proceed like BOL4 before, but I'm going to be a fan and a friend watching BOL4 and cheering it on. Thank you for having shared my happiest moments with me. I always love you."
