On May 20, YG Entertainment officially revealed that Kang Seung Yoon of WINNER has confirmed for the forthcoming MBC drama, "Kairos."
"Kairos" is a fantasy-romance-thriller about a man named Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok) who collapses in shock when his young daughter is abducted, and a lady called Ae Ri (Lee Se Young) who's still searching for her missing mom.
The two, who exist simultaneously in the present and past, work together just to overcome the events that have pervaded them, and discover new facts and events in the process.
Kang Seung Yoon will portray the character of Ae Ri's friend, Lim Gun Wook. He is a vulnerable person and has no existence throughout the school. But when it comes to Ae Ri, he is willing to do whatever she asks and is there to support her whenever and wherever she wishes to. Gun Wook will play a significant role in her mother's hunt for Ae Ri.
The WINNER member, who is set to return to the acting scene for the very first time in over two years, has acted and had been featured in "High Kick" on MBC, "Revenge of the Short-Legged," "Love for a Thousand More," and on the "Prison Playbook" on tvN.
Kang Seung Yoon added, "I was fascinated as soon as I reviewed the manuscript for 'Kairos.' Following a prolonged time, I am very excited to be back as an actor. I always have a lot of room for improvement, but I will do my greatest not to become a hurdle to those with whom I work with. Look forward to this project for me and kindly watch it soon. Thank you!"
"Kairos" is scheduled to air in the second quarter of the year.
