AB6IX Young Min Excluded From Comeback After DUI + Album Release Date Rescheduled

Brand New Music officially confirmed in an official statement on June 4 the rescheduling of AB6IX's comeback, which was initially planned for June 8.

The company also confessed in the announcement that AB6IX's leader, Lim Young Min, was previously arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and as a consequence, his driving license is temporarily revoked.

"During the wee hours of May 31, Lim Young Min met up with close friends and consumed alcohol, and afterward decided to drive home. Cops stopped him and prosecuted him with a DUI, and his driving license has been voided. Lim Young Min is presently reflecting heavily on his conduct, and expects to cooperate with integrity in any more police proceedings wherever possible," the agency stated.

"Lim Young Min will suspend all of its operations as a member of AB6IX as of today. We immediately inform that AB6IX would then conduct out all prospective work schedule as a 4-member group. The latest album of AB6IX, initially set to be released on June 8, was rescheduled on June 29, as we consolidate the group," Brand New Music added.

Finally, Brand New Music expressed remorse to supporters for triggering worries and pledged to make sure that occurrences like that won't occur again. For now, Lim Young Min will temporarily sit out of the group's activities until further notice.

AB6IX is a pop group from South Korea, established by Brand New Music. The band consists of the following members: Lim Young Min, Jeon Woong, Kim Dong Hyun, Lee Dae Hwi, and Park Woo Jin.

BrandNewBoys, the band's debut television show, made its debut on Mnet on April 18, 2019. The TV program followed the story of the five members preparing for their debut, and also featuring great times behind-the-scenes video of their everyday living.

AB6IX released a detailed starting lineup music video for "Hollywood" on April 26, 2019. Lee Dae Hwi took part in written work, and Park Woo Jin choreographed the soundtrack "Hollywood," which was conducted for the company assessment on "Produce 101 Season 2."

This version of the song first starred Jeon Woong, the fifth member of AB6IX.

AB6IX made their debut with EP"B: Complete" on May 22, 2019. Their premiere showcase was carried at the Olympic Hall on the same day. This album features seven songs from very various musical backgrounds that combine the works from all five members.

AB6IX held their first fan meet, named "1st ABNEW," at The Star Theatre in Singapore on July 27, 2019, to commemorate the occasion of their debut.

The boy band worked in collaboration with Lizzo on a remix of her track "Truth Hurts," which was initially launched in 2017, on September 24, 2019. They also introduced their first studio album "6ixense" on October 7, 2019, and debuted at no. 30 on the Social 50 Chart of Billboard on October 15, four weeks of being on it.

The band rendered their first solo performance labeled "6ixense" at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in South Korea on November 9, 2019.

On February 13, 2020, AB6IX launched their digital mini-album "5NALLY." The EP is composed of five solo songs, one per member.

On February 7, 2020, the European portion of their "6ixense" journey was confirmed to be canceled due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequently, on March 11, 2020, it was confirmed they would also suspend the US leg of their tour.
