Former member of AOA, Mina, revealed a screenshot of malicious DMs since leaving the group.
It's not new for K-pop idols or any celebrity to receive hateful messages from antis, and Mina is one of those who are the receiving end of rude statements on her SNS. However, she has her own way of tackling such issues. On June 16, she shared a screenshot of malicious messages on her Instagram account.
She captioned her post with, "I am not usually hurt by malicious comments, still let us not do this because it is too hard for me these days."
On the said photo, which is said to have been received through her direct message inbox, Mina replied, "If you do this once more, I will report you."
Still, the malicious commenter did not stop and said, "That is what X without any talent said."
Being said, Mina replied with devastation and eventually revealed the netizen's user ID.
Below is how the conversation went.
Malicious Commenter: "Hey, attention-seeking ***"
Mina: "If you will do this one more time, I will take a legal move."
Malicious Commenter: "Do you have celebrity sickness? It is always ****s without talent, going on about that."
Mina: "What is your purpose for doing this to me?"
Malicious Commenter: "Hey! **** off. Kekekekeke. You definitely don't have any better things to do, you *****."
Recently, fans expressed their concerns about Mina and even asked the others to pour her some uplifting words after seeing a suspicious photo on her social media, which might exhibit self-harm. The photo shows a small portion of her wrist that has a bruise.
It was also revealed that she recently lost her grandmother and her dog. Thus, her fans have expressed their love and support to the idol who they felt is having a hard time. Some said they have to watch her closely as something bad might happen and it'll be too late.
In May of 2019, her former label, FNC Entertainment, revealed that the K-pop-idol-turned-actress did not renew her contract, therefore departing from the company and the group. As of writing, AOA is comprised of members Jimin, Hyejeong, Chanmi, and Yuna, and Seolhyun.
"However, after 7 years together and a series of long discussions with the members and the company, Mina has decided to take a different path to make her new dream come true," as quoted by her former agency.
