An experienced synchronized swimmer has recently made a video ranking twelve different K-Pop groups and their synchronization. There is a difference with being on time and being sync; when you're in sync, things like the angle of your body, height of the arms, lift of the leg, the spacing, and more are put into account and needs to be the same between teammates.
It's incredibly difficult, but all the groups mentioned are known for their synchronization. The swimmer noted that those in the top six and near-perfect, and that they are all pretty much equal with some minor comments.
12. NCT
NCT units are overall well-synced and have strong formations, but their sub-units can be a hit or miss when it comes to the height of their arms.
She has stated that WayV, NCT's China unit, is likely higher on the list if she were to make them a stand-alone group, as they are the most synchronized out of all the sub-units.
11. MOMOLAND
While MOMOLAND's choruses are usually the parts that are most synchronized and practiced, the verses can be a little less so. The angles and leg distances in the choruses have nearly no flaws, but they tend to make minor mistakes in the verses.
10. ATEEZ
In terms of being on time and on beat, there is no denial that ATEEZ is near perfect, and each member is an incredible dancer. However, each members dance tends to differ slightly, which sometimes make them look less synced overall. This isn't the case all the time, and ATEEZ more often than not provide incredible performances for their fans!
9. Cosmic Girls (WJSN)
With twelve members, it can be hard for WJSN to sync up, but the girls are able to line up the angles of their bodies and limbs perfectly. Their one major drawback is the spacing between their legs, which can sometimes cause some members to be late.
8. TWICE
The synergy between the group is amazing and it's obvious that they not only work well together, but they like working together. Some members, however, dance slightly different from one another. Still, they work well as a whole unit.
7. A.C.E
Just from their dance practice video, it's obvious A.C.E is a group that practice a lot to sync up. And all their practice is put to good use, since they are often in sync. One criticism the synchronized swimmer had is that for slower movements, it can be a little less synced.
6. Dreamcatcher
Dreamcatcher is very often in sync, especially in terms of the leg spacing. Their hand gestures at times can be different, like how some members would have opened hands while others would have closed fists. It's a minor detail; they are overall very impressive.
5. PRISTIN/HINAPIA
As most of the girls (all except for Bada from HINAPIA) trained under Pledis Entertainment, it's no surprise they are in sync, as it is well-known that synchronization is one of their biggest prides. Their only small weakness is that the bending and angle of the legs sometimes different from one another.
4. GFRIEND
Hailed as the queens of synconization, the critic in the video even called their ability "scary"! The are recognized in the industry as impressive dancers and how well synced they are with each other. Their minor weakness is that occasionally the bend of the arms different with one another.
3. ITZY
ITZY is not only synchronized, but they are also capable of being difficult and sharp dance moves as well as slower movements in time with each other. There are times the formations are 100% perfect, but with the difficulty in dancing, it's already impressive.
2. LOONA
Another group with numerous members, it's highly impressive that the girls can stay so in sync. Even the way they walk in sync!
1. SEVENTEEN
With thirteen members with drastically different height, it's incredibly hard to be synchronized and yet the boys pull it off well, and they always pull of near-perfect performances. They are well-known as kings of synchronization, and we can see why!
