These K-pop groups indeed dominated the charts from 2008 to 2019!

On June 20, Korean netizens discuss on an online Korean community, the Top 5 Hit Songs of a male idol group in each year, starting from 2008 to 2019. On analytics provided based on YouTube searches and views, the graph showed which K-pop songs became a major hit in the same year it was released, as well as the changes of interest of the listeners to the songs over time.

Big Bang, which is the "Kings of K-pop," amazingly holds seven hit tracks based on the graph, note that during their peak, Youtube streaming is not yet accessible. SHINee, the "Princes of K-pop" tied with the "Kings" as well, with seven hit songs, including their classic debut song, "Noona Neomu Yeppeo."

For the record, EXO, who debuted in 2012, has eight tracks, which became a significant hit, especially on YouTube, and were loved by several fans over their eight years in the industry. This includes their songs, "Growl," "Wolf," "Overdose," "Call Me Maybe," and many more.

Meanwhile, BTS holds the most hit songs on a span of five years only, from 2014-2019, which has ten songs in total that are massively accepted by Koreans and the mainstream.

On the other hand, other notable K-pop groups also entered the list including, "Empress of Japan," TVXQ, "Hallyu Kings," Super Junior, 2 PM, CNBLUE, INFINITE, BEAST/HIGHLIGHTS, BLOCK B, WANNAONE, iKON, WINNER, SEVENTEEN, PENTAGON, NCT Dream, and X1. Two of the iconic soloists entered the list as well, including Taeyang and Taemin.
