The Bangtan Boys just achieved another milestone as their music video for "Save Me" hit 500 million views on YouTube!
BTS is soaring sky-high even at the brink of the pandemic as their "Save Me" MV reached half-a-billion views, making it their 9th music video to attain the said record on YouTube on June 22. The music video was released on May 15, 2016.
The septet's other hit tracks, "Blood Sweat & Tears, "Fake Love," "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "DNA," "Fire," "IDOL," and "Dope," have already set the record.
BTS has been recently active with virtual activities. They recently delivered a speech on the online graduation ceremony "Dear Class of 2020," organized by the former U.S. President Barak Obama and his spouse, Michelle.
It was a fun-filled and uplifting event as the boys shared their experiences as graduates in the past and how they have moved forward from being a student to become successful individuals in the music scene.
Earlier, BTS's Suga made headlines after his successful collaboration with singer-actress IU, in the song "Eight." It dominated major music charts locally and internationally.
Suga also released his sophomore solo mixtape, "D-2," as his moniker August D, with "Daechwita" MV. His bandmates Jin and Jungkook also did a cameo appearance on the music video.
What's more? BTS held online concerts, called the BANG BANG CON. The first one was a two-day show of their past concerts, and in May, Big Hit Entertainment announced that BTS will meet their fans through the virtual concert, BANG BANG CON The Live.
This is their way of bridging the gap among fans who have been longing for them since the pandemic. It can be recalled that BTS had to cancel major concerts and events local and international to follow social distancing protocols and prioritize everyone's safety.
BTS also joined the call for supporting the medical frontliners in South Korea amid the fight against COVID-19.
Earlier this June, BTS held their most awaited FESTA 2020, also in light of their 7th debut anniversary. This year's FESTA first ran on June 1 and concluded on June 13, their debut anniversary date. Given that this event is packed with content and schedules, one of the activities of the septet was their karaoke session!
Then, on June 19, BTS unveiled their new Japanese single, "Stay Gold," ahead of the release of their comeback Japenese album "Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey" on July 14.
BTS started in the industry as a low-profile, underdog band. Thanks to their talents and perseverance, they are among the most successful and influential groups to date.
BTS "Save Me" MV hitting 500 million views is only one of the numerous successes that they achieved. And perpetually, ARMYs are their strong allies who got their back.
Congratulations, BTS!
