KCON has turned itself into a virtual concert venue, with an amazing lineup of acts. Among these performers is one of today's biggest rookie groups, TXT, who have been announced to join the roster of the most awaited "KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER."

The five members guest-starred for the very first time via video conference with "Good Day New York" to promote their upcoming participation in the virtual show. Little did they know that they would also be asked some questions about the latest protest by Donald Trump, which fans and netizens considered offensive.

Shockingly, the TV reporter abruptly cut off Soobin in their interview, which was intended to be based on the upcoming KCON:TACT.

"I have to stop and question you, but I really don't know if you're aware of this. Obviously, the American President had a huge protest over the weekend. And, he believed there would be a million people turning up. But many K-pop fans have also said that they certainly got the reserved seats and misled the President out. Do you know something about this whole trend of TikTok users and K-pop fans, obtaining those passes and not turning up for Trump's protest?" The reporter asked.

Predictably, both TXT and fans were caught by surprise upon this topic. Yeonjun graciously answered it after taking quite a moment to assess a translation of the topic, in a manner that led the conversation back to what it should be addressing. The idol, with support from Hueningkai, "We do not really know. We're already getting ready for KCON:TACT, and we've been training. That's it."

Even though TXT managed to answer and professionally handle the question, it didn't sit well with fans. For two main reasons, MOAs found the question unacceptable. They argue that in the first place, the intention of the discussion had nothing to with it. With the huge KCON:TACT Logo hanging and dangling just behind the band, TXT appeared solely to talk about their upcoming appearance and new songs.

The second issue is that it made fans outraged because they are a Korean band. They have no need to comment on the United States' political affairs, even if K-pop fans are involved in a specific case.

Although no official explanation about the issue has been provided by the news program, Rosanna Scotto, the news anchor, addressed it via her Twitter account. She apologized to those who found it how disrespectful the topic was asked. She replied positively in the very same breath to anybody, who refuted how startling and irrelevant the question was.
