Goo Hara's brother Goo Ho In continuously seeks justice for the late K-pop idol.
A new witness will stand in court in the person of former KARA member, Jiyoung, as one of the three to testify siding Goo Ho In. The brother of Hara confirmed that the trial on July 1, held in Gwangju, District Court, that the estranged mother didn't appear, while he and the lawyers of both sides attended. Thus, Ho In referred three witnesses: their biological aunt who has raised them while young, Hara's friend, and Jiyoung's father.
In recent reports this year, Goo Hara's brother pushed to pass the "Goo Hara Act" as law that will take make some changes in terms of the claims of absent parents to unmarried children who have passed away. In addition to that, a case was filed towards their biological mother with regards to Hara's assets.
Earlier this year, news of Mrs. Song say that she is claiming half of the late K-pop idol's inheritance that is of huge sum since she has been active in the entertainment industry for a long time. With this, the brother expressed his anger towards their mother who left them at very young age and was forced to live with their relatives as their father was busy working to make ends meet. He also expressed his misery of the passing of Hara through series of SNS posts.
Ho In exposed a letter written by Goo Hara that said how much she misses her mom. She added that she keeps on holding into such feeling and she is hurting about it. This created anguish towards the absentee mother and feeling sorry for the late celebrity.
Meanwhile, the former boyfriend of Goo Hara, Choi Jung Bum, who was accused of harassment, has acquired a new lawyer to defend him in the case. Goo Ho In again spoke out about his sentiments and believes that the said person should be given proper and appropriate sanction. He also believes that he has attributed to the cause of his sister's depression.
Jiyoung and Hara both were members of the girl group KARA. They shared a great sense of friendship through their years of being together. Earlier in January, the former shared a posthumous MV of the late idol and even shared a loving message for her. She penned, "I love you, I miss you unnie."
