Find Out What Pushed BLACKPINK Jennie To Become A K-Pop Idol

BLACKPINK's Jennie is one of the most successful female idols who made their dreams come true. Debuting as one of this generation's most phenomenal group is such a massive feat for the female star, that even her co-members Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé are evidently thankful for.

Being one of the most sought-after K-pop female groups, who have extended their fame not only in South Korea but to the rest of the world, these ladies are undeniably grateful to their fans.

But you might be wondering what made these idols choose the limelight when they could've lived a quiet and simple life. Jennie shared her story and revealed what pushed her to become a K-pop idol.

Jennie's Different Path in Life

Jennie once mentioned in an interview on Zach Shang Show that she was supposedly taking another path in life. She was only ten years old when she went abroad to live in New Zealand. After four years, her mom decided to migrate in Florida.

Although she saw that everything is in its place, she suddenly felt a sense of emptiness, and she wanted more than an ordinary life.

She Desired to Become a K-pop Idol

After realizing that she doesn't want a normal life overseas, she went back in Korea to pursue her passion for singing. Thakfully, her parents supported her decision. Instead of enrolling at a local high school, she told her mom, "Mom, instead of going to a new school, why don't I come home and do something that I would enjoy for my entire life."

YG's Most Popular Trainee to BLACKPINK

Later on, she has been the talk of the town as she had exhibited great skills as an artist, even before debuting. She even appeared on G-Dragon's concert, "BLACK," in 2013.

Finally, her dreams started coming true when she became one of the members of the then-rookie girl group, BLACKPINK, that skyrocketed to fame as they have charmed their fans since day one.

Jennie, along with her co-members, has since then dominated the K-pop scene. They have a huge number of supporters, BLINKs, from all over the world who have been vocal about supporting them and fighting for what they think they truly deserve as an artist. Jennie is currently the number two most followed K-pop idol on Instagram, next to Lisa.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to release another single following their pre-release track, "How You Like That." The upcoming song will be released on the 28th as announced by YG Entertainment. Also, a mystery featured artist will soon be officially unveiled too.
