YG rookie male group TREASURE reveals G-Dragon and other senior YG artists have given them a huge influence.

TREASURE mentioned that they are taking into heart the influences they received from Hoobaes of YG Entertainment. In an interview where the boys got to discuss their sentiments over their recent debut, the 12 members talk about how YG's senior artists have patted their backs.

TREASURE, who released their first single "The First Step: Chapter One" on the 7th and began their career as official K-pop idols with the title track "BOY," staged their first music broadcast on SBS's "Inkigayo" on the 9th. The stage, which contains the charm of a lively and energetic set of boys, drew keen attention from global fans, adding to expectations for future performances.

Among them, Bang Ye-dam, the longest-serving trainee who has been associated with YG through season 2 of "K-pop Star," boasted of TREASURE's strong teamwork, saying, "There were times when I was anxious, but members relied on each other a lot and tried to communicate."

The members of Treasure confessed that they were greatly influenced by the advice of various senior groups such as G-Dragon and Taeyang's Big Bang, as well as WINNER, iKON, and soloist Akdong.

Ji-hoon said, "When we were only trainees, iKON seniors bought us drinks. Since we were trainees, we gained a lot of strength and motivation to work hard. We were grateful because YG artists influenced us."

In the process of the prolonged debut period due to YG Entertainment's issues, the members thought it was an important time to strengthen their teamwork.

Choi Hyun-suk, one of the members, said, "I want to show you a good performance once on stage. I'm trying my best because I think you'll look at us one more time only if I show you my best. We will continue to work hard, so please look forward to it." TREASURE also thank the fans supported them and still pushing them to be on top.

Recently, TREASURE skyrocketed to success as they set a new record as YG Entertainment's artists gaining the highest sales on pre-order. Over 150,000 pre-orders were recorded, which includes Japan and China as the top countries who patronized their music. They have overcome BLACKPINK's record set in 2016. As the boy band had to endure a prolonged debut, everything pays off for them now.
