The Korean wave is continuously skyrocketing not only in Asia but as well as in the Western market, thanks to these K-pop songs that created huge impact and influence through their iconic songs and music.
On Mnet's "TMI News," the hosts unveiled the Top 10 Most Iconic K-Songs that became massive hits this 21st Century.
10. TWICE – Cheer Up
Released in 2016, then-budding K-pop group made their breakthrough in the K-pop scene. It is possible to say that there are only a few people who don't know this song because of its popularity. In the same year, it became one of the best-performing singles in South Korea, and even received two "Song of The Year" awards from Melon Music Awards (MMA) and MNET Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
9. Crayon Pop – Bar Bar Bar
Can you still remember the iconic song "Bar Bar Bar," of Crayon Pop? Well, for second-generation K-pop fans, it is impossible not to recall the dance choreography of this song that even gone viral not only in Korea but in Japan, too, not to mention its fame across the globe!
Due to their success, they were able to travel and perform around China, America, Australia,etc., and won Best New Female Artist during MAMA in Hong Kong.
8. iKON – Love Scenario
Who doesn't know "Sarangeul haetda uriga manna" famous line of iKON's "Love Scenario"? Bet not you!
iKON's signature song "Love Scenario" is not only famous to youth but to toddlers to the elders, everyone seems to love this song a lot! The song was originally a breakup/moving on song, but can you believe that due to its popularity, it was banned to some elementary schools in Korea because young kids are singing it "excessively"?
In 2018, iKON then received their two "Song of The Year" Award from MMA and Golden Disk Awards (GDA).
7. EXO – Growl
Following their controversial debut, EXO returned after MAMA in the music scene with a new concept, introducing "Growl." With its amazing choreography, unique music video, praiseworthy vocals, and overflowing visuals of the members, this song became their breakthrough digital single.
Due to its stardom, they received a World Music Award for "World's Best Song," and Record of the Year in Digital Release in Seoul Music Awards.
6. Super Junior – Sorry Sorry

4. Girls' Generation – Gee
Girls' Generation, the "Nation's girl group," produced several hit songs, but one of the most remarkable is their song, "Gee," in 2009. MelOn even named it as "Song of the Decade."
Girls’ Generation also received their most prominent awards through, “Gee,” including Bonsang, Daesang, and Odyssey Award from various music awards ceremony.
3. Lee Hyori – 10 Minutes
One of the most iconic singers of the K-pop industry, Lee Hyori, the "Nation's Fairy," debuted in the group Fin. K.L in 1998.
