Due to their passion and love for music, these following K-pop idols ended up setting up their career and decided to run their own entertainment company and label!
In the music scene, setting up a business including owning a company is already hard, but these K-pop idols took the risk and are now some of the most successful CEOs and owners of record labels and companies.
1.RAIN
RAIN Company, owned by the K-pop idol Jung Ji Hoon or prominently known as Rain, started his own company in 2015.
2. Kim Seo Hye
A former IOI member, Kim Seo Hye left her former agency and started her own label S&P (Shark & Penguin) to manage her career as a K-pop idol and as an actress.
3. Yubin
Yubin, who is a known K-pop icon and member of former group Wonder Girls, established her own company called rrr (real recognize real) after leaving JYP Entertainment. The idol and CEO shared that she wants to reunite with the members in the future; and Hyerim did join her company.
4. Zico
Zico after breaking up with his former label Seven Seasons agency launched his own entertainment company called KOZ (King of Jungle) Entertainment.
5. Kang Daniel
One of the youngest Entertainment Company CEOs in Korea, a former WANNA ONE member set up his own companies named Konnect Entertainment, and another company called KD Corporation.
6. Jay Park
Former 2 PM member and leader established his own company after leaving JYP Entertainment, and venture on K-hip hop instead, and established AOMG and H1GHR Music.
7. PSY
The K-pop icon PSY decided to leave YG Entertainment after 8 years and decided to create his own company called P-nation. He first signed Jessi, followed by HyunA and Edawn, and Heize-who was recently announced to join the company.
8. EXO Lay
In September, EXO Lay is officially a CEO as well! According to reports, he is now the major holder of Changsa Chromosome Entertainment, making him the owner of the company with 99 percent shares.
In 2018, Lay also registered a company called Shanghai Yinyuan Chengxing Culture Communication Co LTD.
9.Hyolyn
Hyolyn, whose popularity skyrocketed after debuting with K-pop group SISTAR, established her own company when the group disbanded in 2017. She launches a company called Bridʒ Entertainment (Bridge Entertainment.)
10. Nam Tae Hyun
The former K-pop idol and member of WINNER experienced success in the music scene; however, due to his mental health, he decided to leave YG Entertainment and withdraw from the group. Following disbandment, he registered his own music record called, "South Buyers Club" who will manage his own band, South Club.
