WJSN's (Cosmic Girls) first sub-unit, Chocome, will make a debut in the K-pop scene.
Starship Entertainment drew attention on its official SNS channel on the afternoon of September 22 upon revealing the image of Cosmic Girls' first unit.
On the yellow background of the released image, a cute emoticon with a sulky expression along with the words "WJSN's little boy," and a round heart, were engraved, giving off a lively atmosphere. On top of that, the pink circle contained silhouettes of the members wearing large ribbon headbands, creating curiosity about the little members that have yet to be disclosed.
With this, WJSN formed its first unit since its debut in February of 2016 and announced the start of its activities as a small group.
In June, they set their own record for the first time with their album "Neverland," which contains dreamy music based on a fairy tale "Peter Pan," and won two music shows by showing cheerful melodies and elegant performances with their title "BUTTERFLY."
In addition, as Billboard, a U.S. music media outlet, has grown to a new level as a global artist by unveiling a solo interview, attention is being paid to what kind of activities it will perform as a unit.
Cosmic Girls, who made their splendid debut in the K-pop scene in 2016 with "MoMoMo," received attention for their group dance that featured delicacy in mysterious and lyrical music such as "Secret," "I Wish," and "Save Me, Save You." Last year, WJSN's distinctive music and performances with "La La Love," "Boogie Up" and "As You Wish" were performed, creating a distinct musical color of WJSN.
In particular, each of the members is showing off her outstanding capabilities in various fields, including acting, entertainment, and OST, proving their versatility.
Expectations are high on what concept and album WJSN will launch through the first-ever unit.
Meanwhile, WJSN's first unit, Chocome, is stepping up preparations for the new album with the aim of releasing it on October 7.
