On October 1, Thursday, NCT member Lucas was caught accidentally flashing his cigarette box during a live stream.
During the night of October 1st, Lucas went live on his personal Instagram account with fellow WayV and NCT members Hendery and Winwin. The three members decided to chat with fans as they were on their back home after a fun outing in which they spent their day by the beach and enjoyed some seafood.
During the Instagram Live, the three members were seen jamming to Chinese songs and told fans the would sing for them. As the boys grooved to the music, Lucas started excitedly waving his hand to the music.
However, it appears the idol had forgotten he was holding his cigarette box in his hand. As he waved his hands, fans were able to catch a glimpse of the small, shiny white box. It did not take long for Lucas to realize what he had done. Flustered, the idol could not stop his jaw from dropping.
Lucas quickly turned the camera away from him and had it face Hendery and Winwin instead, staying out of the frame for a while. Winwin, taking over the live stream, started asking fans, "What other songs do you guys want to listen to?"
Lucas quickly returned to the Instagram Live, and fans speculate that he hid his cigarette box to avoid being caught with it again.
This, however, is not the first time the NCT member was caught with a cigarette box. Previously, Lucas was seen in an online, video call fan meeting with the cigarette box peeking out of his shirt pocket. When he realized that it was visible in the frame, he put his arm up to cover the pocket.
As soon as the video and photos of the incident started circulating on social media, "Lucas" started trending on Twitter. But instead of being upset, fans started joking about the incident. Many have joked about how NCTzens have put weed in their lightsticks, so Lucas smoking is not a big deal to the fanbase. Others chose to defend Lucas, saying it is his body and other people do not have a say in what he chooses to do to himself.
What do you think of the situation?
