WJSN (Cosmic Girls) CHOCOME has released a preview video of their debut album, "Hmph!".
Starship Entertainment began the unit's full-fledged debut countdown at 8:00 p.m. on the 5th by posting a preview clip of the album, which includes the title song "Hmph!" and the remake of the first-generation K-pop song "Ya Ya Ya" through WJSN's official SNS channel.
In the video, a total of two tracks highlight parts and photos were released simultaneously, capturing the attention of music fans with irresistibly cute melody and images.
The title song "Hmph!" is a retro disco-pop genre filled with the wild and lively charms of the four members, Subin, Luda, Yeoreum, and Dayoung.
Kim Do Hoon and Seo Yong Bae (RBW division), who have led the music trend of Korean girl groups, participated as producers to complete a cheerful melody. Along with the addictive hook, the song gives the unit's unexpected charm with a lovely piece meant for the person who doesn't know how he feels.
The song "Yayaya" is a remake of the first-generation girl group Baby V.O.X's hit song released in 1998. While arranging the existing music into the tropical and Mumbai-ton genre, members showed off their unique vocal tones and familiar aspects in an attractive way.
The preview video captures the cheerful and lively atmosphere of the unit. The members offer addictive qualities that cannot be escaped with just their short-released highlight songs, drawing keen attention to what kind of music WJSN CHOCOME will present to the music industry.
Meanwhile, CHOCOME's Subin, Luda, Yeoreum, and Dayoung, who debuted in 2016 and will debut for the first time in four and a half years as a unit, will release its new single album "Hmph!" on various music sites on October 7 at 6:00 p.m. KST.
