BTS Online Concert Almost Reaches 1 Million Viewers from 191 Countries + Approximately 50 Billion Won Sales

BTS just made another achievement! On Monday, the agency of the group Big Hit Entertainment announced that the second online concert of the group BTS has reached almost 1 million viewers worldwide.

In particular, "BTS Map of the Soul: ON: E" held in Seoul from October 10 to 11 ended with 993,000 viewers from 191 countries and regions around the world.

The online concert, which lasted for 150 minutes, was a successful show in which BTS was able to showcase more than 23 songs including their hit song "Dynamite," which peaked at No. 1 in US Billboard's Hot 100, and tracks from their full-length album, "Map of The Soul:7."

Initially, the concert was supposed to be held online and offline, but due to a coronavirus pandemic, the show was limited to an online broadcast. However, it will not stop BTS from giving its fans and supporters around the world the best experience; thus introducing the use of Augmented reality (AR) and Extended Reality (XR) technology to extend the best viewing experiences of ARMYs (fandom of BTS).

In addition to this, BTS also launched "ARMY on Air" that allows the users to listen to the voices of the audience in real-time, see their faces, and communicate with fans.

Nevertheless, for the fans who weren't able to join the renowned group during the concert, Big Hit entertainment provided a rebroadcast streaming service so that more fans can watch the show. In Japan, live viewing via theaters was also set up.

Due to the immense support and effort shown by BTS, Big Hit, and ARMYs, the countries in which viewers watched from climbed to 191 countries, and was able to break their record with 993, 000 viewers.

Furthermore, the sales of the online concert peaked at 49.1 Billion won, as per the computation of Newsis.

Meanwhile, during the "BTS Map of the Soul:ON: E," the underrated group which finds their stellar career after three years was able to look back on their seven-year successful journey and featured "Map of the Soul:7" their debut track, "No More Dream" and "Dynamite" which is the current sensational song around the globe.

BTS said, "We've prepared a lot for the 'Map of the Soul' (series) album and performance to commemorate the seven years of journey since our debut, that also speaks our worries, songs and honest stories of each member."

Aside from their group tracks, the members showcased their individual stage presence and charisma as well, performing their solo mixtapes and solo tracks such as "Intro: Persona," "Interlude: Shadow," "Filter," "Moon," "Inner Child" and more.

Amidst the show, BTS conveyed their happy hearts, after meeting their fans again after a long time, "I'm happy to be able to see it on the screen like this," BTS said. It's been a while since I heard your voice, so I'm energized. It's the prettiest sound in the world."

Big Hit also said, "It was a concert where the one-year preparation for "BTS Map of the Soul: ON: E" showed off its solid composition, delicate production, and fresh planning, and above all, it was praised as the best performance with BTS's seven-year growth."

As they concluded with a successful show, the most popular and successful boy band as of now left the words, "We will march together forever, singing different stories in different languages, waving numerous flags of different colors. BTS is not just seven people, but you, me, and all of us."
