BLACKPINK Jennie Tops Korean Brand Research Institute Individual Girl Group Member Rankings

According to the data released by the Korean Brand Research Institue for individual girl group members brand reputation, BLACKPINK member's Jennie topped the list and is October's most popular female K-pop idol.

She is followed by Oh My Girl's Arin at second place and fellow member BLACKPINK's Jisoo in third place.

To analyze the rankings of individual girl group members, the Korean Brand Research Institue extracted 75,469,921 of data from 510 individual girl group members from September 17, 2020, to October 17, 2020. They analyzed trends such as consumer participation, media exposure, social media usage, and community reception, which helps create a behavioral analysis of the consumers' reception of the girl group member.

The brand reputation rankings are an index created through data analysis to find out how consumers' online habits and its impact on brand consumption. Through the analysis of the girl group's individual brand reputation, they measure the positive and negative reception of a girl group member's individual brand, the media's interest in them, and the consumer's interest in them. The rankings is also an analysis of brand value and brand influence.

From 1st to 15th place, the list goes: BLACKPINK's Jennie, Oh My Girl's Arin, BLACKPINK's Jisoo, T-ARA's Jiyeon, Oh My Girl's YooA, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, BLACKPINK's Rosé, BLACKPINK's Lisa, Oh My Girl's Seunghee, WJSN's Bona, Red Velvet's Joy, Girls' Generation's Seohyun, Oh My Girl's Hyojung, APRIL's Naeun, and (G)I-DLE's Yuqi.

BLACKPINK's Jennie, who topped the list for this month's individual girl group members brand reputation rankings, is analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 3,919,492. She has a consumer participation index of 1,060,324, a media exposure index of 845,076, a social media communication index of 915,094, and a community reception index of 1,098,998. Compared to her brand reputation index of 2,210,042 in September, her index rose by 78.07%.

Second place idol Oh My Girl's Arin is recorded to have a brand reputation index of 3,322,064 with consumer participation of 2,125,878. She has a media exposure index of 167,591, a social media communication index of 651,860, and a community reception index of 376,736. Compared to her brand reputation index of 1,703,751 in September, her index rose by 94.99%.

BLACKPINK's Jisoo ranked third and is analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 3,293,081. She has a consumer participation index of 1,078,571, a media exposure index of 789,618, a social media communication index of 572,452, and a community reception index of 852,441. Compared to her brand reputation index of 2,707,148 in September, her index rose by 21.64%.

T-ARA's Jiyeon, who is in fourth place, is recorded to have a brand reputation index of 2,567,104 with consumer participation of 2,107,380. She has a media exposure index of 133,070, a social media communication index of 173,046, and a community reception index of 153,608. Compared to her brand reputation index of 315,209 in September, her index rose by 714.41%.

Oh My Girl's YooA ranked fifth and is analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 2,561,653. She has a consumer participation index of 961,894, a media exposure index of 566,802, a social media communication index of 666,954, and a community reception index of 376,003. Compared to her brand reputation index of 2,264,739 in September, her index rose by 13.11%.
