BTS "Dynamite" Music Video Surpasses 500 Million Views

BTS's music video for number one hit single "Dynamite" has surpassed 500 million views on YouTube.

The music video for "Dynamite", which was released back on August 21 at 1:00 p.m. KST, surpassed 500 million views on YouTube at 9:06 a.m. KST on October 20. This marks the 10th time a BTS music video has reached the feat.

BTS's "Dynamite" is a bright and exciting song with disco-pop influences. As it was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, the song is a unique healing song that delivers the message of vitality and hope despite the difficult times of hardship. The music video tries to deliver this message as well, making use of colorful colors and sets and the boys donning retro-themed costumes.

During the music video's release "Dynamite" broke the record of the biggest premiere on the platform, with more than three million unique users simultaneously watching the music video upon its release. The boys also broke the record for the most views on a YouTube video in the first 24 hours with 101.1 million views.

"Dynamite" debuted at the top of the Billboard's Hot 100 Chart on September 5, making it BTS's first number-one hit on the charts and the first time a South Korean act ever topped the list. Currently, they are ranked number two on the charts.

"Dynamite" is also doing well on the Billboard Global Chart, which analyzes the streaming sales of music from more than 200 countries and regions around the world. As of October 17, "Dynamite" is ranked 4th on the Billboard Global 200 Chart and second on the Billboard Global (Excluding U.S.) Chart. "Dynamite" had previously topped both said charts.

BTS has a total of 26 billion views across their top music videos, including "Dynamite". "DNA" has over 1.1 billion views, "Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)" has over 900 million views, "FAKE LOVE", "IDOL", and "MIC DROP" all have over 700 million views each, "FIRE" and "Blood, Sweat & Tears" have over 500 million views, 600 million views,
