On November 4, 2020, G-Dragon took to Instagram to upload a picture of him and his best friend, T.O.P and captioned it with a sweet purple heart. Judging from the hair colour on the duo, the picture was likely taken during their 'Last Dance' promotions back in 2016.

Media outlets, especially Korean ones, are referring to G-Dragon as 'The Return of The King of K-Pop.'
Choi Seung-hyun better known by his stage name T.O.P, turned 33 this year. Heis a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He used to perform as an underground rapper before joining the record label YG Entertainment and debuting as the lead rapper for the boy band Big Bang in 2006. The group became one of the best-selling groups of all-time in Asia and one of the best-selling boy bands in the world.
In 2010, while the group was on hiatus, T.O.P and G-Dragon collaborated to release the album, GD & TOP. As a solo rapper, he has released two digital singles, "Turn It Up" (2010) and "Doom Dada" (2013), that have peaked at number two and four, respectively, on the Gaon Digital Chart.
T.O.P made his acting debut in 2007 through the TV series I Am Sam (2007), followed by Iris (2009) and the TV movie Nineteen (2009). He made his film debut with 71: Into the Fire (2010), for which he received praise and won multiple accolades including Best New Actor at the 2010 Blue Dragon Film Awards and the 2011 Baeksang Arts Awards.
Subsequently, he garnered lead roles in the films Commitment (2013), for which he was awarded New Asian Actor of the Year at the Busan International Film Festival and Tazza: The Hidden Card (2014).
Kwon Ji-Yong, also known by his stage name G-Dragon, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer, dubbed as the 'King of K-Pop.' G-Dragon trained for six years, from the age of twelve, at South Korean entertainment label YG Entertainment before debuting in 2006 as the leader of the hip hop boy band Big Bang, which became one of the best-selling boy bands in the world.
According to sources, YG Entertainment told YTN Star that G-Dragon worked on his upcoming song as part of his comeback. A media outlet had revealed that G-Dragon was going back and forth between the studio in YG Entertainment, in YGX, and at The Black Label. As soon as this news leaked, fans went berserk considering the very possibility of G-Dragon's comeback.
G-Dragon's last song as part of Big Bang was in March 2018, and his last solo song was in June 2017. As it has been quite a long time and owing to one of the biggest controversies in K-Pop surrounding BIGBANG's Seungri, BIGBANG's future and its members were really up in the air.
