On Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, the Korean Brand Research Institute released their brand reputation rankings for boy groups in November. In this month's rankings, BTS has taken the top spot as the most popular boy group. Keep on reading to see who else made the rankings.
To determine which boy group is the most popular for the month, the Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 54,840,283 pieces of data dating from Oct. 6 to Nov. 6 and determines their brand reputation index through a consumer participation index, a media index, a communication index, and a community reception index. Compared to October's available data of 52,294,128, it increased by 4.87%.
The brand reputation ranking is an index that determines consumers' online haibits and how celebrity impact brand consumption, Analyzing which boy group is the most popular helps determine the postive and negative influence of the group, media, and consumer interest, and their communication volume.
BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook), also known as the 'Princes of Pop', ranked at number one with a brand reputation index of 8,595,929. They have a participation index of 2,033,128, a media index of 2,257,600, a communication index of 2,160,133, and a community index of 2,146,068. Compared with their reputation index of 16,356,302 in October, their index fell by 47.45%.
NCT (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Lucas, Mark, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Shotaro, Sungchan, Chenle, and Jisung) ranked at number two with a brand reputation index of 5,856,601. They have a participation index of 423,192, a media index of 1,954,560, a communication index of 1,788,989, and a community index of 1,679,320. Compared with their reputation index of 3,553,615 in October, their index rose by 64.51%.
SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) ranked at third place with a brand reputation index of 3,780,268. They have a participation index of 718,256, a media index of 1,717,760, a communication index of 740,516, and a community index of 703,736. Compared with their reputation index of 2,210,646 in October, their index rose by 71.00%.
B1A4 (CNU, Baro, and Gonghan) ranked in fourth place with a brand reputation index of 3,256,610. They have a participation index of 1,419,528, a media index of 1,027,264, a communication index of 434,359, and a community index of 375,460. Compared with their brand reputation index of 319,135 in October, their index rose by 920.45%
At fifth place, we have PENTAGON (Hui, Jinho, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yanan, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok) with a brand reputation of 2,240,415. They have a participation index of 238,480, a media index of 1,164,640, a communication index of 570,524, and a community index of 266,771. Compared with their reputation index of 831,099 in October, their index rose by 169.57%.
