EXID member Hyelin reveals the struggles she endured after leaving her former agency, Banana Culture, and how she chose to work in an Italian restaurant after deciding to pursue a solo career. Read more about it here.
Hyelin, along with the other members of EXID, appeared on Thursday, Nov. 12, airing on the MBN show "Miss Back." There, Hyelin revealed that she felt alone once she left the company, as she was no longer with her members. "I can't do much on my own," she revealed. "The members each filled in a part one by one. Since all of that suddenly disappeared and I had to start working by myself, I was burdened with such a heavy feeling."
During the episode, Hyelin revealed her busy day-to-day life routine. She chose to keep herself busy even though she was no longer promoting with EXID. She revealed that she chose to do so because staying stagnant makes her feel nervous. "When I'm not busy with music, I feel uneasy. I feel like if I don't do something, I'll be stuck in a slump. That's why I'm always trying to keep myself busy."
Hyelin revealed that after her contract with Banana Culture ended, she started going to bed late and waking up late. To fix her sleep schedule, she decided to get a part-time job. "I thought I needed a reason to get up early, so I started working at an Italian restaurant near my house," she revealed. "After working there, I started developing my own routine."
During the broadcast, Hyelin surprised fans with how well she was at serving customers and keeping on her toes. Though Hyelin has already quit working at the restaurant, she still chooses to stop by from time to time and help them with work.
Hyelin, who left Banana Culture this year and signed with SidusHQ, is currently working as a soloist. This year, all members of EXID have left Banana Culture, though they are not officially disbanded. Leader LE has revealed that she is currently trying to work out a way for the group to promote despite being in different agencies.
