The hashtags #LucasDeservesBetter and #WinwinDeservesBetter are currently trending on Twitter, following the alleged unfair song distribution of SM Entertainment to some NCT members, including Lucas and Winwin.
In particular, NCTzen, the fandom of NCT, express their anger and frustrations in the social media platform over the circulating song distribution photo.
The photo pertained that Winwin, Haechan, Jeno, and Jaemin got only one song and unit to perform in, while Lucas didn't get any new song at all, among the eight new tracks to be released along with their upcoming album, "NCT Resonance Part 2."
With that, many fans are trying to call out SM entertainment to give more songs and lines to the members or give fair distribution. In contrast, a lot of fans and supporters of Winwin and Lucas immediately demanded the agency to stop mistreating the members.
In fact, this is not the first time that netizens talk about the alleged mistreatment of the Chinese line, especially to the members of WayV, a sub-unit of NCT especially promoting in China.
Some of the things that fans are angry with relating to the shorter lines, parts, promotion, and exposure Winwin and Lucas get compared to other members. SM Entertainment is yet to respond.
On the other hand, anticipation over the upcoming NCT's 2nd Album RESONANCE Pt. 2 is gaining more attention from K-pop enthusiasts as the day goes nearer to its release date.
According to Daum's X-Sports News, the album, which will introduce an old school R&B Hip-hop title track, "90's Love," and other songs including "Work It," "All About You," "IOU," is already attracting positive response from global fans.
"90's Love" will show the traditional sound of Ten, Winwin, Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Yangyang, and Sungchan in the form of old school R&B hip-hop track, who will pass on the message of remembering and enjoying the precious things in the past, as they are worth transcending time and space. Moreover, "Work It" is an electric dance song that in the participation of Johnny, Yuta, Ten, Jungwoo, Hendery, Jaemin, and Jisung who will take on energizing and exciting music to show their commitment to stepping forward to the future.
As for "All About You," by Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, Hendery, Shotaro, Sungchan, and Chenle, it is expected that listeners and music fans will enjoy a medium-tempo pop song, in which the members participated with the lyric writing themselves. A dreamy and refreshing song that fans should look forward to.
While for "IOU," Taeyong, Doyoung, Kun, Yangyang, Shotaro, Chenle, and Jisung will convey the lyrics of a boy excitedly running to confess his feelings.
In addition, teaser images of Taeil, Johnny, Kun, Lucas, Hendry, and Jisung were released through NCT's official SNS account at 12 pm KST on this day, and the trendy visuals and soft charisma of the members capture caught the eye of K-pop fans.
The album will be released on Nov. 23, consisting of 21 songs with additional eight tracks featuring NCT members. It is expected that the album will showcase a new side of the members, proving their diverse music world.
