Recently, fans and K-pop fans, particularly ONCEs, (fandom of TWICE), noticed the cute choreography mistake that Jihyo made during their debut performance for "I Can't Stop Me" in STUDIO CHOOM.
In particular, the fans' and viewers' attention were captured when the video was re-uploaded on YouTube, piquing their curiosity about why the original version was taken down.
Eagle-eyed fans then pointed out that it could be Jihyo's alleged choreography mistake at around 1:33 timestamp of the video, showing how Jihyo seems lost.
Fans think that Jihyo apparently forgot the next choreo, but after peeking at her co-members' dance steps, she finally continued dancing to the right moves.
Fans and netizens think that Jihyo's mistake is normal, and it can really happen even during the final performance. ONCEs even think it's really cute!
However, K-netizens clarified the case on an online Korean community site. They claimed that it wasn't really a choreography mistake, but rather proof of how great a leader TWICE Jihyo is!
In the post uploaded on Pann Nate, the user talked about the controversial part of Jihyo where everybody thought that the female idol got flustered after forgetting her dance moves.
The Korean fan added, "Most people responded that this was a mistake in editing. That's the normal response because you're not taking that kind of content at once."
As a result, the video was re-uploaded, editing Jihyo's part, and it focused on Tzuyu instead.
The post gained various comments from fans and Korean netizens, but the majority found the video cute and underserving to receive hate comments.A fan said, "Even if Jihyo was wrong, it was ridiculous to be cursed at. No, it was like ng during pre-recording. Where is the idol/entertainer who will survive? How empty is your head?"
"Stop harassing our pretty Jihyo. Cheer up, Jihyo," another fan added.Even non-fan of TWICE and Jihyo defended the idol and said, "I'm not a fan of Jihyo, and I'm upset that she's always criticized for nothing."
TWICE, a nine-membered group, made their comeback last Oct. 26, introducing their second full album, "Eyes Wide Open" with the title track "I Can't Stop Me."
