NCT won the Daesang for "Album of the Year" for their October release "NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1". This is the group's first album to have all 23 members of the group. The album featured all four units of NCT and two new members, Shotaro and Sungchan, who will be joining a future NCT unit. The album garnered more than 1.1 million pre-orders, making it the group's first million-seller album.

2020 has been an eventful year for TWICE! In April, TWICE released their documentary series through YouTube originals titled "TWICE: Seize the Light." That same year, TWICE released their ninth EP, "More & More," with a title track of the same name. It is currently TWICE's best-selling album to date and is the best-selling girl group album in South Korea in 20 years. In October, the girls released their second studio album, "Eyes Wide Open" with the title track "I Can't Stop Me."

They also collaborated with the League of Legends group K/DA. In November, they released the song "I'll Show You". That same month, they released the music video for their latest Japanese comeback, "Better." .

It appears GOT7 is gaining more and more fame for their outstanding performance! In April this year, GOT7 released their eleventh extended play, "Dye," with the title track "Not By The Moon." The EP sold 281,791 copies in their first week, making it their best first-week sales. On Nov. 30, GOT7 will release their fourth studio album, "Breath of Love: Last Piece," with the lead single "Last Piece."

"Dynamite" is a record-breaking song, so it is no surprise that it won the award. "Dynamite" topped the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first-ever K-pop song to top the charts. The song also peaked at number one on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. It was recently announced that "Dynamite" was nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

2020 has been a busy year for MONSTA X! The boy has two Korean comebacks, one English album, and one Japanese album, and also they were busy performing! MONSTA X performed at the Time 100 Talks in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. They also had an online concert, "Live From Seoul With Luv."

Daesang — Trot of the Year: Im Young Woong

Im Young Woong is a South Korean trot singer, entertainer, and YouTube creator. He started his career in 2016 with the debut single "Hate You." He gained fame in 2020 after winning the Mnet show "Mr. Trot," beating out 17,000 applicants.

The Asia Artist Awards is an awards ceremony organized by the South Korean-based business newspaper "Global Today," in partnership with the global media brands StarNews and MTV. The Asia Artist Awards awards the noteworthy.
