Mark your calendars - BLACKPINK will be greeting fans before the year ends with their first-ever livestream concert!
Recently, YG Entertainment has launched a digital concert format and platform called "Palm Stage" in partnership with Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS). "Palm Stage" is said to be derived from the idea that viewers will be able to watch a concert in the palm of their hands. YG becomes another entertainment agency in South Korea to create such platform, following Big Hit, SME, and JYPE, to provide fans a great substitute for live concerts.
Prior to this, a video teaser titled "BLACKPINK AROUND THE WORLD" was dropped on Nov. 22, making fans speculate that BLACKPINK seems to be the first runner for YG's newly-launched "Palm Stage." Then, on Dec. 1, an invitation video was shared, making fans more curious as to what the girl group has in store for them.
On Dec. 3, the concert was officially confirmed with BLACKPINK sharing the main poster of their upcoming concert called "THE SHOW." The image reveals that the event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. KST and it will be broadcast live via the girl group's official YouTube channel for the first time.

Besides the main poster and guide video, BLACKPINK has also dropped a trailer video for their upcoming event. The clip runs for 30 seconds and starts with a room with numerous items with the phrase, "BLACKPINK Presents" showing on the screen. The next part of the clip showed the concept group photo for "Lovesick Girls" and a man walking in the middle of the room and turning on a machine.
The man can then be seen working on something as the pictures of BLACKPINK members appear from time to time. Toward the end of the clip, it turned out that the man was making the earth with a pink crown over it, which can be seen in the first video teaser.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK members have recorded a video message to BLINKs around the world, inviting them to watch them perform in their first livestream concert.
