SMA's 'Who's Fandom Award' Voting is Now Open + See Groups and Fandoms Nominated for the Title

All you have to do is to retweet! Among 40 nominated K-pop groups and fandoms, only the Top 16 will advance to the next round.

On Wednesday, the 30th Seoul Street Global fandom voting for the grand prize, of Seoul Music Award's "Who's Fandom Award" continue to heat up.

According to the global K-pop fandom platform Whosfan, the 30th Seoul Music global voting finally opened on Dec. 8, through Whosfan's official Twitter account. The top 40 nominees were already revealed on the social media platform as well, who will be competing for the top 16.

The top 40 votings will only last until 6 p.m. KST of Dec. 10, Friday. The top 16 candidates who achieved the most "retweet" among 40 official posts and candidates of whosfan will enter the next round, and the battle for the grand prize.

K-pop Groups and Fandoms Who are in the Top 40 Fighting for "Who's Fandom Award"

Among numerous K-pop groups, 40 K-pop groups and fandoms were nominated for the title. In particular, the nominees were selected based on criteria and data.

First, those who are eligible are artists or groups who had released an album after Jan. 1, 2020. Data such as fan activities, number of artists' followers, star chart points on Whosfan application also served as a significant indicator for the top 40 list.

Moreover, the album sales and social media data were also analyzed, using Hanteo Music Data Lab Analysis.

#WhosFandomAward; How to Vote, What is it, and Seoul Music Awards

As a result, more attention is being paid to the 30th Seoul Music Awards.

In particular, the "Who's Fandom Award" will be presented to the said award ceremony, and is a "fandom special award" given to artists who have received the most love from K-pop fans around the world. The final winner will be decided by a 100 percent fan vote score only through the mobile whosfan app and the whosfan official Twitter account.

To vote, all a fan has to do is to retweet the main post about their fandom. The voting method is a little different from the usual one. It is designed to allow global fans to continue to take part with interest.

The top 16 groups with the highest retweet will be competing in the next round, which will take place on Dec. at 5 p.m. KST.
