On Tuesday, Dec.8, the Korean singer-actress Harisu captured the eye of her fans and supporters with her new look and hairstyle. In the photos that she posted on her Instagram account, the idol surprise fans with her snow-white hair that showed off her dazzling beauty.

Harisu exuded a doll-like visual, highlighting her big eyes and perfect V-shape face. Her pink lips and symmetrical pair of eyebrows gained praise from netizens as well.

The netizens who saw the picture said, "You're getting younger and younger."

In particular, Harisu was born in 1975, making her 46 years old next year in February. But with her youthful beauty, netizens are wondering how she was able to maintain her beauty. Some even said she's like a real-life doll.

Harisu, a model, singer, and actress is the first-ever transgender Korean to enter the entertainment industry. Though she was born as a male named Lee Kyung Yeop, hereinafter Kyung Eun/Harisu, the idol identified herself as a female ever since childhood.

When she's 20 years old, she underwent sex reassignment surgery in 1995, completing her identity as a woman. In one of her interviews, Harisu revealed that she'd rather be dead if she can't become fully a woman. Thus, she legally changed her gender as well as her genitals.

In 2001 then, Harisu, which is derived from the English phrase, "Hot Issue" rose into fame after her appearance in a commercial for DoDo cosmetics. In the commercial, the idol showed a unique hint to the viewers that she's transgender when despite her elegant lady look, her digital adam's apple was highlighted.

They initially thought that the commercial will receive negative feedbacks from viewers particularly among Koreans which LGBTQ+ was still taboo then, but on contrary, Harisu received massive praise for her face that is "more beautiful than a woman." This became her breakthrough, which also played a significant part in her music and acting debut.

Harisu was introduced as an actress in her first lead role play, "Yellow Hair 2." Before debuting as a Korean singer, she also had a cameo for Turbo's music video.

She later debuted as a solo artist with her album, "Temptation," which was well-received by the listeners and ranked No. 32 on K-pop music charts.

Harisu as Hope for Trans Women in Korea and Marriage

Being the first transgender idol in Asia and the second legal trans woman in Korea, she became a hope for other trans people in the country to be accepted.

In 2005, Harisu dated Micky Jung, a former rapper and member of dance group EQ. Later in 2007, she then got married to him.

However, in 2017, she got divorced from Micky. In MBC, the idol revealed that she wanted to have a uterus transplant to carry a child herself, in exchange for laying down for two to three years to completely heal; thus, changing her mind later on.

Meanwhile, Harisu has been very active, showing her transformation into a trot singer after "Voice Trot" this year.
