On Thursday, Dec. 10, TIME Magazine announced that BTS was named their "Entertainer of the Year", sharing a cover of the magazine with the boy group to celebrate. However, quick-eyed fans quickly noticed something odd with the member's outfits and are calling out their stylist for sloppy styling. Keep on reading to learn more about the situation.
In the photo, BTS is seen wearing classy suits, sticking with neutral shades such as black, grey, white, and brown. While the boys manage to look elegant and dapper, fans were quick to point out how ill-fitting the clothes of Jin and Jimin are. Jin's blazer is too long in his and is crumpled by his shoulder, while Jin's should is too big for him, causing the heel to be noticeable behind him.
Fans of the group have since flocked to the Instagram account of BTS's stylist, leaving more than 1,800 comments under their most recent post. People are complaining that there is always something wrong with BTS's outfits. Some also said that BTS are global superstars now and are sweeping major awards both in the East and the West, yet their outfits are sometimes worse than other idols.
Many also accused the stylist of fiving BTS shabby clothing and are purposely not dressing them properly. Fans have expressed frustration over BTS being dressed the same way over and over again. Additionally, many are begging the stylist to measure each BTS member carefully to ensure their clothes fit.
What do you think of the situation?
BTS was named "Entertainer of the Year" by TIME Magazine, with the publication applauding BTS for their contributions to the music industry both in the West and the East and how the boys have used their talents and platform to spread hope and joy to listeners worldwide during the coronavirus pandemic.
This year was hard for everyone, even BTS. The boys had to cancel their world tour due to the global health crisis the world is going through. However, BTS decided to take those in their stride and spread optimism with their song "Dynamite". The all-English single is the group's first number one hit single on the Billboard Hot 100, and BTS is the first all-South Korean group to top the U.S. charts. "Dynamite" was subsequently nominated for the "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the 2021 Grammy Awards.
This year brought about a lot of achievements for BTS. They got their first number-one hit in the United States, and further bagged two more with "Savage Love - Laxed Beat Remix" and the pre-dominantly Korean-lyric song "Life Goes On". BTS also dropped their album "Map of the Soul: 7" and "Be", as well as a Japanese version of the former album titled "Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey".
Aside from BTS, TIME Magazine also announced that LeBron James is this year's "Athlete of the Year". The publication has yet to reveal who is their "Person of the Year". They are slated to reveal who it is on Dec. 11, with an hour-long special broadcast on NBC. BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) are scheduled to perform their hit song "Dynamite" on the broadcast.
