BLACKPINK Jisoo took to Instagram, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, to express her delight after Rose sent her a gift to the "Snowdrop" set. The "Ice Cream" singer shared snaps of herself posing in front of a coffee truck, which appears to be from her co-band member.
In the top banner, BLACKPINK Rose said that the "Snowdrop" cast and crew should take good care of Jisoo, adding that she wishes everyone the best. In another banner, the "Lovesick Girls" hitmaker described her Jisoo as beautiful and asked her to cheer up. Rose even asked everyone to support Jisoo's character in the imminent new drama series.
BLACKPINK Jisoo responded to Rose's sweet gesture and messages. In her Instagram post's caption, the "How You Like That" songstress revealed that it was Rose who gave her the coffee truck. Jisoo even said, "I love you" to Rose, to which the latter responded with, "I love Young Cho!"
To recall, it was not long ago when JTBC confirmed that BLACKPINK member Jisoo would star in her first-ever television series called "Snowdrop." Numerous BLINKS rejoiced and showed support after learning about the news, including her bandmates Jennie, Lisa, and Rose.
Aside from Jisoo, other personalities in the forthcoming new South Korean television series include Kim Hye Yoon as Kye Boon Ok, Jung Yoo Jin as Jang Han Na, Jang Seung Jo, Lee Kang Moo, and Jung Hae In as Im Soo Ho, among others. "Snowdrop" is based on the true story of a man who was able to escape a political prison camp in North Korea.
The BLACKPINK member, for her part, will play the role of Eun Young Cho. In the series, Jisoo's character is a college student who would develop feelings for Im Soo Ho during their first meeting.
"Snowdrop," as per reports, centers on the story of Im Soo Ho, a college student who was raised in Germany. The character of Jung Hae In is attending a prestigious university. However, things became odd when he suddenly rushed into a girl's dormitory with his body full of blood.
Luckily, Jisoo's character cameto the rescue and helped poor Im Soo Ho icurehis wounds. The life of the cheerful and lovable En Young Cho would, then, turn upside down as she faces danger and would be under close surveillance.
Jo Hyun Tak would direct "Snowdrop," which was originally titled "Leehwa Women's University Dormitory." Yoo Hyun Mi wrote the script and storyline of the upcoming new television series. This would mark Hyun Tak and Hyun Mi's second project together after the previously worked in the 2018 show titled "Sky Castle."
In November, it was announced that filming for the "Snowdrop" series was put on a halt after a supporting cast member contracted the COVID-19. But, with Jisoo's latest update, it seems like the entire cast and crew are back to shooting again.
"Snowdrop" is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2021. No other details have been disclosed as of this writing.
