Luna Shows How Much She Misses f(x) on Social Media

Luna proved that she misses f(x) just as much as everyone does with a post on her personal Instagram account. Keep on reading to learn more.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, Luna shared a throwback photo of f(x) to her Instagram account. The photo is from an old photoshoot and features all five members of the group - Luna, Sulli, Krystal, Victoria, and Amber - wearing flashy and colorful outfits.

The caption of her post reads, "We had so much joy during our active days. #f(x) #longing #imissyou".

Many people had left comments under Luna's post, where they gushed over how much they missed the girl group. Some had hoped that the members would come together soon, as they are all no longer under SM Entertainment and could possibly release a song or an album together.

f(x) debuted in 2009 and was active until 2016. The girl group released a number of hit songs, such as "La Cha Ta," "Nu Abo," "Electric Shock," "Rum Pum Pum," "Red Light," and "4 Walls." The latter is the group's last official comeback and was released in 2015, though they released an SM Station song titled "All Mine" in 2016, making that their last musical release.

In August 2019, f(x) reunited as a trio - Amber, Luna, and Krystal - and performed at the three-night concert SM Town Live 2019 in Tokyo. Back in 2015, Sulli departed from the group.

f(x) has not officially disbanded, though the members have all left the company. On Sept. 5, 2019, it was announced that Luna had decided not to renew her contract with the company. She signed with Humap Contents in 2019 and, as of press time, is still signed with the label.

On Sept. 1, 2019, Amber announced through her Instagram that she had chosen not to renew her contract with SM Entertainment, ultimately departing from the agency. Five days later, she announced that she signed with Steel Wool Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based entertainment agency. She is currently pursuing a career in America.

On Sept. 15, 2019, Victoria announced that her contract with SM Entertainment had expired and that she had chosen not to renew, saying she would be leaving the company. However, on that same day, SM Entertainment announced that Victoria had not left the company. Victoria is signed under her own label in China, but her possible future activities in South Korea are still in SM Entertainment's hands.

Back in August, reports started going around saying that Krystal left SM Entertainment. However, the company stated that her contract expires at the end of the month, and they were still in discussions on a possible renewal. Her departure from the company was legitimized in Oct. 2020, with her soon signing on to H& Entertainment.

Sulli was the only member to never leave SM Entertainment. In 2015, she left f(x) following her hiatus from the industry to focus on her health. From 2015 to 2017, Sulli was active as a model and an actress. She debuted as a soloist in 2019 with the song "Goblin." In Oct. 2019, it was revealed that Sulli had passed away, with the cause of her death being ruled as a suicide.
