AOA's Yuna recently left her long-term management agency FNC Entertainment, and she wrote fans a letter to express her gratitude and share what she will be doing in the future.
On Jan. 1, FNC Entertainment issued a statement announcing that AOA's Yuna has parted ways with the agency following the expiration of her contract. FNC shared that the label and the artist reached an agreement after careful discussions. Seo Yuna, better known by the mononym Yuna, promoted as a singer and actress under FNC Entertainment for the past eight years.
Later that day, AOA's Yuna uploaded a letter to her personal Instagram account to thank her fans and share with them what she plans on doing now and in the future. She started her letter by saying, "I'm writing this because I think that I need to personally say something to my fans who must have been surprised when you saw the news articles."
She then mentioned her contract with FNC Entertainment has ended after 10 years. Yuna was a trainee under the agency for two years and carried out her activities as both a singer and actress for eight years. "There's so much I want to say and I miss you too. I'm not sure where I should start, but just, I'm so grateful," the AOA member added.
"My 20s were really happy thanks to the many people who love me. I think I truly received so much love, to the point that there were times when I wondered if it was okay for me to do so," Seo Yuna wrote. She further expressed her gratitude to her fans by stating, "I just worked hard at everything because I wanted to sing and I wanted to perform on stage, and no matter what I did, my fans told me, "' You're beautiful,' and 'You're cool.' I think it's thanks to you that I was able to keep running without stopping no matter how hard and tiring it was."
AOA's Yuna later revealed what she is planning to do. She said, "Starting now, I'm going to take my time a bit more and go a bit more slowly. I'm going to try doing the things that I've wanted to do and take some time for myself." "Thank you to my fans and my members, who made such precious memories that I could never trade for anything else. I will improve and grow," she added.
The idol concluded her letter by stating, "I hope that in the new year, everyone just experiences happier things. Always be careful about your health, and happy New Year!"
Seo Yuna is the fifth member of AOA to left FNC Entertainment and the girl group, following Youkyung, Choa, Mina, and Jimin. With Yuna leaving the band, AOA currently has three remaining members, namely Seolhyun, Hyejeong, and Chanmi.
Yuna debuted as a member and one of the main vocalists of AOA in July 2012 with the single album titled "Angels' Story." She also became part of the band's sub-units AOA Cream and AOA Black. The artist also entered the world of K-Drama, debuting as an actress in the web-drama "Prince's Prince" in February 2015.
