On Sunday, Jan. 10, the Korean Brand Research Institute revealed their girl group brand reputation rankings for January. Keep on reading to see who made their top rankings.
The Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 42,652,998 pieces of data from Dec. 10, 2020, to Jan. 10, 2021, to measure the brand reputation index of girl groups. The organization determined each girl group's participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to December's 42,395,989 pieces of data concerning girl groups, the number decreased by 11.87%.
The brand reputation index is an indicator created through data analysis that finds the online habits of consumers and what had an impact on brand consumption. The girl group brand reputation index can measure the positive and negative influence of a girl group, the media's and the consumers' interest in them, and their communication volume.
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa) ranked first with a brand reputation index of 4,695,457. The girl group has a participation index of 348,568, a media index of 988,320, a communication index of 1,398,613, and a community index of 1,959,455. Compared to their brand reputation index of 4,786,776 in Dec., their index fell by 1.91%.
Coming in at second place is TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu) with a brand reputation index of 4,178,019. The girl group has a participation index of 405,416, a media index of 1,402,440, a communication index of 1,258,002, and a community index of 1,258,002. Compared to their brand reputation index of 4,234,719 in Dec., their index fell by 1.34%.
Sitting at third place is IZ*ONE (Kwon Eunbi, Miyawaki Sakura, Kang Hyewon, Choi Yena, Lee Chaeyeon, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju, Yabuki Nako, Honda Hitomi, Jo Yuri, Ahn Yujin, and Jang Wonyoung) with a brand reputation index of 3,802,710 The girl group has a participation index of 540,464, a media index of 1,074,150, a communication index of 979,199, and a community index of 1,208,886. Compared to their brand reputation index of 3,365,110 in Dec., their index rose by 13.00%.
Fourth place goes to (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minne, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua) with a brand reputation index of 2,973,921. The girl group has a participation index of 220,932, a media index of 914,080, a communication index of 1,186,214, and a community index of 652,695. Compared to their brand reputation index of 1,954,512 in Dec., their index rose by 52.16%.
In fifth place, we have Oh My Girl (Hyojung, YooA, Seunghee, Binnie, and Arin) with a brand reputation index of 2,759,787. The girl group has a participation index of 323,816, a media index of 815,480, a communication index of 991,576, and a community index of 628,915. Compared to their brand reputation index of 2,712,338 in Dec., their index rose by 1.75%.
